  • Islamic State(IS) and Islam(ism) are one and the same. See Islamism in practice

If you want to see Islamism in real form, in practice, as a lab case, then it is in the form of IS. Make the difefrence that Islam is a faith and spirituality while Islamism is Islam+Culture+Politics. IS exemplifies Islamism.

    Read the fatwas here

In mid-February, self-declared Islamic State resident Abu ‘Umar al-Masri (@__UmBack__) Tweeted photos of 32 official Islamic State fatwas. Selected from a larger packet of more than 70, the 32 authe

That's like saying securalism and hitlerism is the same and the practice of wiping out whole populations as the britishism did.

Badlun, Atheism and securalism is the product of prosperity which is why you dont see it in poor countries so if you want to spread atheism and securalism, first you must make societies prosper. If your Elite Secular Afghan Buddys had shared the wealth with the afghan people, you would be a little bit closer to your goal.

I do agree with the header, Islamism does contribute to the way groups like ISIS and al Qaeda are shaped.

Islamism is against rigorous scholarly approach to Islamic Law. They interpret religion based on their own politically driven agenda.

Just look at the fatwa's. Their most senior scholar is not even 30 years old. He was disowned by his own teachers for siding with ISIS.

However, I do like to point out to the irony here. Badlun believes in Western secular liberalism. He wants to adapt Islam to his own political thought. ISIS believes in radical violent revolutionary struggle. It adapts Islam to make it fit into its own ideology.

Badlun, is in many ways like ISIS.

This is the conundrum. A vicious cycle. For prosperity you must have secularism with democracy. First you secularize then you get prosperity. In Afghanistan the day you dont wipe out Islamism you wont get development and prosperity.
Islam works only on spiritual level otherwise we get IS or Taliban.

At least you agree that Islamism has to do with groups like IS and Al Qaeda.
I want Islam in its own place as a religion as a faith as a spiritual system but not as a political or social or economic or cultural system.

Like in the USA, where every politician needs to say out loud that they are Christians & believe in God to get elected?

This is completly false, Western societies adopted secularism becuase they also had a lot of infighting between catholics and protestants, In north Europe blood wars between this groups were alsmot without end. Even now in northern ireland the animosity between catholics and protestants is quite big. They knew that without a neutral state aparatus who would accept every group as equal peace and stability would not come.

Look at the mess in the muslim world. Even the ones who are peacfull like Saudi Arabia, still opress shia, secularist or just ordinary muslims who critisise the royal family to the max what brings instability, muslims are diging their won grave, if the do not change towards secularism and more relligious freedom, including allowing people to become openly atheist, this opression of minorities will never stop. And groups like IS will be used by foreign powers to steer instability and make the rehion weak so that they can exploit them.

What Muhamamd did , the same is repeated by IS. Muhammad crushed all the statues, banned music and dance, prohibited art and poetry, enslaved men and women, kept concubines, shared war booty, beheaded opponents, gave 3 options to non Muslims (Jizya, Islam or murder), IS does the same.

The Islamic State terrorist group offers a true representation of Islamist society and reflects the true nature of Islamist polity

Good reads on the subject matter

There is no "true Islam" in Islam. There has never been any central "authority" in Islam that could define such a thing. For better or worse (mostly for the better), Islam wears many faces. But paradoxically, there is one contemporary orientation that does make the big claim of being "true Islam": Wahhabism. So the only claim to being "true Islam" is that proclaimed by Saudi Arabia -- and asserted by ISIS,
