Deobandi school is very diverse. Hanafi school in subcontinent is represented by Deobandis. Most Afghans are hanafis and they have been trained by deobandi schools.

There are many deobandi trained Hanafis who are with Hisbe Islami, Jamiate Islami and the current government.

If deoband is truly the father of Taliban, then no deobandi would have joined Hisbe Islami or jamiat.

Similarly, if deoband is father of Taliban, there would be no Salafi within Taliban movement.

neither deoband nor Taliban are monolothic movements.

trained in which way exactly? i know that afghan refugees were trained by them in madrassas in the 80s and 90s. later this student=taliban became taliban.

this is what not muslim are taught in the west, also deobandi was just reaction of british imperialism but @marwat said deobandi is reaction on barelvi. and who are exactly barelvi? a sufi-movement in current paksitan?

Similarly, if deoband is father of Taliban, there would be no Salafi within Taliban movement.

i know taliban movement is also diverse. do taliban-deobandi refuse salafi within taliban?

neither deoband nor Taliban are monolothic movements.

Your questions are based on a certain assumption. The assumption is that Taliban are trained, instructed and organized to act and think in a certain way.

I will respond later when I am home.

The basic motivation which led to establishment of Deoband, was threat to Islam and muslims of India by British colonists. There was no such thing as bareilwi then. The basic aim was to provide religious education to indian muslims, but also to resist the British designs and schemes at all possible levels. They were inspired by Abdul wahab's movement and they were against Bid'ah but kept Tasawuf.

Almost all the Jihadi movements and stirrings against British were stemming from Deoband. They went to extreme and opposed any thing which was introduced by British. They would even oppose new technology just because British brought it, for example they were against use of loud speakers (nowadays its their favorite). This bigotry will damage their movement and it didnt expand as much even thought it had potential. From reports of British it is evident , that they saw Deoband as major threat and took some steps to neutralize it. First they perhaps created and definitely promoted Qadiani movement , Mirza Qadiani abrogated Jihad for the convenience of British who feared it most. But this movement was too much deviant in its beliefs that it failed to gain much support. Next attempt of British against Deoband , was Bareilwism. The old rusted and corrupted orders of muslims in India were gathered under one plateform to resist the Deoband reformations. Bareilwi school of thought was founded in 1901 and was reaction against Deoband. They would suspiciously support every British move. They declared fatwa that Jihad is not valid against British. They strongly opposed Khilafat movement and they were in bed with Jinnah, the British agent. All Bareilwis strongly supported Pakistan movement.

Taliban are called so because they were students of Deobandi madrassas in Pakistan. They were carrying the typical biases of Deoband. For example i have heard they banned literature of Maududi in Afghanistan.

The todays Taliban, particularly on Pakistan side, have large Salafi elements in them. For example , while Baitullah was Deobandi but he failed to prevent attack on Maulana Fazlur Rehman which was carried out by salafi elements within his movement. Baitullah assured Fazur Rehman in a letter that they would take care of those within TTP who did that without their permission.

The Swati Taliban , are not Deobandi but Panjpiri, more hardliner in their approach. Khurasani group is also influenced by Salafism. They are the ones who were doing bomb blasts in churches and were sabotaging peace talks of Waziristan's Taliban with government by slitting the throats of FC captives.

Banning mawdudi literature is not deobandi bias. Mawdudi was a jaahil who had no business writing Tafseer of Quran. He had absolutely no qualifications. He wrote criticisms of Sahaba and accused Uthmaan Ibn Affaan dhen Nurayn radiallhu Anhu of corruption and usurpation.

That's why he is a zindeeq who died upon kufr and his literature is blasphemy.

Yes. That's why Muslim brotherhood are so close with Shia.

Khomeini was also very impressed from maudoudi and his work on theocracy was considered in Iran governance and laws.
