It's not really about being a good Muslim (and showing off about it), in fact it's the opposite, I have made a lot of mistakes and also ghunah so that's why I need to fast to cancel that.
These posts are also to encourage others.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Alhamdulilah, thanks to Allah ta'ala I have been able to fast 4 days of Shawwal so far. Yesterday was the 4th.
Today is the 5th and sometime in the next few days before Shawwal finishes, I will try and do my 6th.
May Allah give me and all of us tawfeeq in performing our fasts.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Alhamdulilah, today I did my 6th day of fasting in Shawwal (Shafi school of jurispudence apparently say the 6 days should be done all in one period of consecutive days), on the 29th day of Shawwal.
Thanks to Allah for allowing me to do so.
May Allah bless the Muslim ummah and help oppressed Muslims through out the world be it in Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi, middle east, Kurdistan, Somalia, Burma and help all oppressed people through out the world.
May Allah protect our religion and the honour of our noble prophet, the best of creation, from those who seek to slander, vilify and abuse it.
May Allah give goodness and blessings to the Muslim brothers and sisters on this forum and their families.

In our prayers we should also remember the Muslims of Arakan. They are called Rohingyas and are different from Burmese Muslims.Originally posted by Bengal_Tiger View PostAlhamdulilah, today I did my 6th day of fasting in Shawwal (Shafi school of jurispudence apparently say the 6 days should be done all in one period of consecutive days), on the 29th day of Shawwal.

Yes, I included them when I said Burma as they are natives of Burma.
Also I strongly hope there is peace in Afghankhwa and Pakhtunkhwa, the land of the Pakhtuns as this is of course a Pakhtun forum.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The blessed and holy day of Eidul Adha is approaching us soon. On that day we remember the holy prophet Ibrahim (alaihi salaam) and his sacrifice and also generally the struggles of this noble prophet, the man who has been bestowed with the title "Ab at-Tawheed" (the father of Tawheed).
The days of Dhu'l Hijjah are present now and we are encourage to fast. I myself have regrettably now fasted these days despite their immense virtue, thus dispelling any false perception from any if they had so, that I am some sort of super-good Muslim.
I would like to wish all decent posters on this forum a happy Eid ul Adha to come.

Tomorrow is the holy day of Arafah, which is the 9th day of Dhu'l Hijjah.
On this day the sins are forgiven for the year before and the year after.
The sins that are forgiven are the minor ones and not the major ones such as killing, robbery etc.
May Allah give us the tawfeeq (success) to complete this fast.
Ameen

May Allah accept the Hajj of those who went and a happy Eid to all Muslims around the world.
May Allah ta'ala bring peace to the Muslim lands and the abode of the Muslims where ever they be, in Burma, in Syria, in Afghanistan, in Pakhtunkhwa, in Balochistan, in Sindh, in Iraq, in Yemen and all over the world.

Ameen, thumma ameen.

It is the 3rd month of the Islamic year, Rabi'ul Awwal. Said to be a great month by scholars due to it apparently being the month in which the holy prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم
was born.
There are now 6 months left until Ramadan graces us once again, that holy and blessed month in which the favours of Allah ta'ala descend upon us even more profusely than they do as outside it.
May Allah help us all to have a good Ramadan and a blessed Rabiul Awwal (what remains of it i.e. around a 1/3 of it is left). Ramadan is the month of the Quran and many Muslims perform khatm ("completion", recitation of the Quran in its entirety) of Allah's holy book. We should start reciting more and more Quran so by the time Ramadan has come we can perform Khatm with ease.

It is the 28th of Rabi al Awwal today.
Half a year has passed since Ramadan thus half a year remains.
It is time to start reading Quran.
So when the holy month dawns upon us we can read a Juz' of the Quran with ease having become accustomed to reading pages and pages in the 6 months preceding the blessed month.
A Juz' is around 20 pages so in the 6 months preceding Ramadan, one can increase their recitation of the number of pages of the Quran month by month.
Month 1 (in the first 6 months before Ramadan): 4 pages
Month 2: 6 pages
Month 3: 8 pages
Month 4: 12 pages
Month 5: 16 pages.
Ramadan: 20 pages.
One of the best times to read Quran is during Fajr and this reading is witnessed by the mala'ikah, angels.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

It is now around 5 or so months left until the beginning of Ramadan.
Ramdan is the month of Quran.
The month when the Quran should be recited in abundance.
Unfortunately I have not stuck to a daily pattern of reading a set amount of Quran every day, I should have read at least 4 pages daily in the month just gone, but failed to do so.
Insha'Allah this month I will read 8 pages of Quran daily so will complete many Juz'.
A du'a for the Muslims of Pakhtunkhwa/Afghankhwa
All praise be to Allah and peace be upon his final messenger, Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and his family and companions.
May Allah end the suffering of the Muslims of Pakhtunkhwa and Afghankhwa and end the conflicts there including the acts of terror carried out by those who are loyal to or are controlled by their neighbour to the west.
May Allah make Pakhtunkhwa/Afghankhwa a land of peace and stability.
May Allah help those Muslims murdered in the Bacha Khan university and give them jannah and help their families in this very difficult time.
May Allah give us all peace and happiness and freedom from affliction.
All praise be to Allah and peace be upon our noble master, Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم
Ameen thumma Ameen.
