is religion anti life? for example why do so many mullahs make life so hard for themselves and others around them? if Mullahs were running this world they would ban everything single thing that is enjoyable in life, I am not talking about Alcohol, drugs, sex etc.. I am talking about normal enjoyable things in life like love, romance, music, arts, movies, etc... the list goes on. The people who have lived under regimes like Taliban or Saudi Wahabhi regime know what I am talking about. When ever people from those countries come to a free country like Canada, it as if they are allowed to breath again, they feel so free

Karachi, you living in country where sex, alcohol and drugs are allowed and you have no problem then how can those people have problem where there is ban on OPEN romance, open love open vulgar music etc etc ?

If by religion you mean Islamism, then yes it is totally against life. If you mean Islam, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism etc then No , it is not against life. Evangelical churches are also anti life.

Religion caters for your spiritual and moral needs, so nothing bad in that but if it intervenes in your cultural, political, economic or other spheres, then it is a poison or snake, just avoid it or kill it.

I even do not see any problem in some alcohol like beer or wine. Moderate use of these drinks is very good for health. I am for all kinds of music, art, dances and sex with care.

I wonder why Muhammad crushed all the beautiful pieces of sculpture in Kaaba and banned all kinds of entertainment for billions of people?

(ook 42, Chapter 1, Number 7058 Narrator):
Abu Huraira ra reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:"The world is a prison-house for a believer and Paradise for a non-believer."

Islam or islamism...its same if we look through the eyes of non believer will always appear as anti pleasure of the worldly pleasures.Its like a prison to a believer not to a non believer..Islam is a way of life ....s continuous state of worship to Allah ...a continuous struggle towards Him by overcoming the desires going astray...led by wgispers of satan.This is whats called as test.

“I have created the jinn and humankind only for My worship.” (Quran 51:56)

Muslims have closed everything for themselves, this is why they are so closed/narrow minded. I see muslims as among the most depressed of people, there is nothing fun in their lives. look at the women in our countries how depressed they are. They get old so early and die so early because all their lives they have been depressed of locked up in their houses. what kind of life is that? would rather die, then live in a jail

Who is stopping you from doing what you want...you can choose a model for you who cares? You are free to let your daughter or wife.
Muslim women are happy to cover themselve and not let the gaze of non mehram upon them...the practicing ones..

Alhamdulillah i am...have lived whole life in my regions....woman are happy and busy in their lives and children,your accusations as usual.Those cases where we see women oppressed is because of lack of islam like in punjab pind where there is punchayat system.It has nothing to do with islam...its a cultural ignorance/jahaliyya.Hence the need of sharia.
Women are more oppressed in non oslamic enviroment...that includes both east and west.Only difference is of culture vs secularism.
