  • Pervezi Muslms Ahle Quran munkereen hadith details?? Curiosity Please enlighten

Recently I met a friend in an event and he talked to me about Ghulam Ahmad Pervez and people dubbed as Ahle Quran or Munkereen e Hadith. I had heard about these people but never had any first hand experience to know about them.

Will friends enlighten us about these people. What they say , are they Muslims or not. What little knowledge I have about them is that they are very rational people and rely more on Quran, reason and science than on other sources of Sharia or Islam.

I personally would not call anyone a kafir, even if Quranic ruling is clearly against them. However, to answer your question, they are considered kafir as per some sects of Islam. Then again, which sect is not labeled a kafir in Islam? No sect!
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

You should look up the religion section. You can find plenty of information here.

Quraniyun are clowns. They don't just reject hadith, but they even reject parts of Quran too.

I believe a member by the name of Ghurzang on PF is a Parvezi. He quoted Parvez in a post.

Afghan gay rights activists? Are gays denied any rights? Being gay is accepted in Afghanistan.

No, I'm talking about officially declared gays that participate in gay parades.
Afghan and Persian gays have their own union..

Thanks Sangar. I saw the e book at a bird's eye view and will study it in detail. It seems a scholarly work but some parts are not impressive. I ll discuss my views on this book as well as on Ahle Quran people as I also googeled them and found some good information on them. At the outset I found them very interesting and rational people.

Whatever you study and about whomever, keep this very important thought in mind:

In order to fully (or at least better) understand them (anyone, including these people called Pervezi (though I'm no fan of such labels at all)) from their perspective. Don't just read what the Ahl-e-Hadith, or the Wahhabis, or all other anti-"Pervezi Muslims" have to say about them. That means you're going to have to study the people using their sources, their interpretations, THEIR arguments; you may have the refutations of their opponents side-by-side and ask yourself questions regarding the refutations as well as the claims made by those who adhere to that belief system.

I was doing this with Shiite Islam recently, and I found that Sunnis had no good arguments against them! I had to write a paper REFUTING the claims made by the Sunnis (or just anti-Shiite groups in general) in support of Shiites, because once you really understand the Shiites from THEIR viewpoint, their beliefs, their interpretation of Islam starts to make sense to you, and you grow to appreciate and respect them for what they are than for what they're not. For example, "Deviated Sects within Islam" already implies a judgment, a biased view. So while you're encouraged to read it to see what it says, you should not assume it's necessarily the correct understanding. There has to be rebuttal of what they're accused of, so look for that as well.

So, yeah, just a suggestion - be sure to not be mislead by the enemies of the people some have termed "Ahl-e-Quranis" or "Pervezis" or whatever other names they must have. There are always more than one way to look at these things, and why give focus only to the view that's against them? And why learn about them from their enemies? Why not learn about them from themselves? (This doesn't have to be through personal friendships with them; you can just read sources written by their supporters or them themselves -- or just unbiased sources in general.)

Dear Qrratugai khore, I agree with what you said in principle. However, you must understand that one aspect of your interpretation of the Quran cannot contradict another aspect of the Quran itself.

Absolutely. If there are going to be contradictions, particularly those that interpreters fail to explain in a cogent manner, then I'd question all other arguments for the interpretation as well, just because it might be likely that they, too, will be faulty.

Nevertheless, this is mostly to remind us to not make a judgment before fully understanding something. That's to say, when you're reading something, ESPECIALLY something that's trying to say, "Sect X is deviated!", keep in mind that that's not all of the story; there's more to it, and that one is biased against Sect X. Obviously, all other conclusions about them will be biased as well, whether positive or negative, but just don't limit yourself to understanding or appreciating only one side.

The most important rule of thumb is that one can say: I see his or her point of view, but should also pin point the flaws as per Quranic verses.

That is why to have deep knowledge of Quran is very important.

                              ^ Yes.

And I'm all for critiquing interpretations (or conclusions and arguments in general), whether they're accepted as the "most correct" ones or not. There are flaws in all of them. So if you find flaws in one, you should definitely point them out -- provided you can prove them wrong and explain a possible more correct one.
