Ramadan is in around 42 days or so now.
I won't be posting as much on here as before (unless there is a compelling need to) i.e. in terms of political topics, but I will be posting much more in terms of Islamic content e.g. images, sayings and so forth.
I think we should all be preparing ourselves psychologically for Ramadan.
1. Fast one or two days i.e. the sunnah (prophetic) fasts e.g. on Monday and Thursday.
2. May be try and spend a whole afternoon or morning without food and water to get ready for Ramadan.
3. Start listening to more Quran.
4. Start reading more Quran.
5. Try and wake up for Fajr.
Waking up for Fajr can be difficult for some but if you put your alarm clock far away from your bed you should be able to. Another technique is every day for 10 minutes, rest in your bed and then set your alarm for the following minute. When the alarm then goes in the next minute then simulate waking up and getting out of bed and walking to your door.
Then repeat this for the next minute, i.e.
0 mins, set the alarm.
1 mins, wake up set the alarm for min 2.
2 mins wake up, set the alarm for min 3...
After 10 minutes you will have simulated this waking up instantly to the alarm clock 10 times, and if you keep on repeating this it becomes a default automatic reaction of your body that when it hears the alarm it automatically gets up and goes to the door. This way, insha'Allah, you will wake up for Fajr.

6. Try and generally try to learn more about Islam and to please Allah more and stay away from that which displeases him e.g. praying in the mosque more, reading Quran, doing dhkir, encouraging others to do good deeds etc, helping people, giving charity etc.
All praise be to Allah and peace be upon his final and noble messenger and his family and companions.
Ameen.
