  • Quran is created or word of Creator?

The adherents of the Mu'tazili school are best known for their having asserted that, because of the perfect unity and eternal nature of Allah, the Qur'an must therefore have been created, as it could not be co-eternal with God.

Abdullah Saeed. The Qurʼan: an introduction. 2008, page 203

While general Muslims believe that Qur'an is eternal along side God.

What do you think whether Qur'an is created or part of God thus not created?

Being "created" does not mean it is not the word of God. It just means the word of God was created by God.

    end of discussion lol

You know this is not this much simple. The creation or no creation of Quran is the main difference between Mutazila and mainstream Muslims. If you say Quran is created then human element appears and then Muhamamd can be called the author other wise God is the author and being a word of God Quran is eternal like God.

It is an important discussion as denying that the Quran is created is the reason Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal was imprisoned and tortured and might have died because of that.

You have to clarify whether Quran existed eternally like God and will exist eternally like God? Does Quran has an end and beginning? Is Quran part of essence of God or not? Will some chapters of Quran like Tabarak will defend dead ones in grave?

Is it not a shirk if you say Quran is God or part of God or not created?

Is Quran a book of guidance written by an author or part of God?

created by the creator. and even if it was 'created' by a human being, who created the human being?? where did the wisdom within him come from?? i am sorry but most of your questions are silly in the sense that they make no sense.

The Mu'tazilah never claimed humans created Qur'an, Mutazilah say Allah(swt) created it. Just like Allah(swt) created the laws of Physics and, the cosmic order and the mathematical principles that forms DNA and life forming from chemicals. The issue of human creation does not factor into it as it is a divine revelation. So these questions and debate ...are completely irrelevant.......as it has already been resolved

therefore this thread can die and get buried in the sea now. lol

badluns attempt at fitna......swing and a miss.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

What's hilarious is how hard he's trying to make it seem like a big controversy when there's already an established explanation for it.
