Hadees of Najd refers to Muhammad's(S) words, of blessing for Yemen and blessing for Sham(the Greater Syria or countries that were part of Syria back in the days), and leaving our Najd because it was said to be place where fitna will arise. kurn ush shaitan, the horn of shaitan will erupt.

I am sure some of you know this Hadees.
My curiosity led me to it:
having read that Najd means elevated place, in Arabic, and it I have lived in Riyadh, which is in Najd, and it is indeed elevated, there is an escarpment on the western side of the city which rises up, like a plateau looking over the western desert towards. Madinah way.
This elevated place is east of madinah, because there are other elevated places on the peninsula, towards the south, like Abha, but the ahadith of Bukhari and Sahih muslim cite east, the place of this fitna.
However it is rebutted by ahlalhadeeth.com that Najd is towards Iraq ie NE of madina.
Maps clearly show najd east of madina, najd is clearly marked in the arabian peninsula, current KSA and stretches from what is the iraqi border to the south bordering UAE and Oman.
So what is going on? Who is fooling who?
It looks like the Al-Sauds (who sprung from the najd oasis of riyadh/diriya) cannot change the strongest/authentic collection of ahadees, instead they are denying their land Najd is not the same Najd mentioned in the ahadees.
Fitna and earthquakes and horn of shaytan will emerge from Najd.
