  • Sleep paralysis

I am a chronic sufferer of sleep paralysis. It happens sometimes up to a dozen times a year. And I still I'm not used to it.

The latest episode was last Saturday night. I slept or not (idk anymore) that my soul left my body and was flying through galaxies at a very fast pace. Once I got back to my room, and into my bed I couldn't move a muscle for a while. Moments later I was then able to move, but I was shaken up for a few minutes.

Now I have read about sleep paralysis a lot but I still don't understand it. Majority of the time, it happens when I either notice a jinn in my room, or I'm doing some kind of interaction with it.

So what the hell is up with me. Anybody else gets this?

actually this happens to me some times as well. I know I am sleeping, but I feel trapped and can't move a muscle, sometimes it feels like I am suffocating. Generally I wake up out if it though, but whenever I do, I feel frightened afterwards for a while. Almost feels like some one was trying to kill me when I was sleeping

That's the feeling. it feels as if you're about to die or something.

Sometimes I don't know if im sleeping or not. Last Saturday when I was flying through galaxies it felt eerily real. It was like the hadith where the Prophet explains what happens to your soul after you die.

I think Man is capable of flying. I don't know how, but I have had several dreams where I have came up with the formula.

used to have it as a kid.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

iv'e been suffering from these attacks since I was a kid.

how the hell can you make it stop? I think I could have a heart attack in one of these episodes. each one is unique and different from the last.

                lol.

I always end up getting chased by zombies.. I wish i could travel through galaxies.. like when i was a kid.. I used to sit on clouds and travel the world..

                and

I don't think it's JINN... it's just in your head.

Sleep paralysis, a momentary inability to move one’s limbs, trunk and head despite being fully conscious, may occur when someone is either drifting off or, more rarely, waking up. During rapid-eye-movement (REM) sleep, the muscles of the body are paralyzed, presumably to prevent the dreamer from physically acting out the dream. Researchers are not sure why this normal paralysis happens during consciousness for victims of sleep paralysis, but psychophysiological studies have confirmed that attacks are particularly likely to occur if the person enters REM sleep quickly after hitting the pillow, bypassing the stages of non-REM sleep that usually happen first.

Also, I know when I'm having sleep paralysis that it's just a dream.. and just wait it out.

You guys should exercise more and then you won't get it. That's how I dealt with it.

I think it has to do with your soul trying to leave the body. and the body responds by shutting down your muscles until you start to cool down.

It almost always happens to me after having a crazy awesome dream, like flying through the cosmos. and then you wake up in bed and are like wtf im I doing here, I wanna go back!!

Sleep paralysis explained in Islam is as follows.
The soul is returning but the person has woken up before it's complete return, the dream is carrying on and you can't move or stop the experience.

Some say it's jinns messing around others say its a beast called khapussai back home, science says the dream mechanism in brain is still switched on when a person has awakened.

It's very common and happens to a lot of people. It happened more in my late teens. When I read up on it and realized what it was, I stopped getting them.
