What prophecy?

[MeemWawMeemNoon]

The Jews are still awaiting the first coming of the Messiah, how do we know that it was Hadhrat Isa (as)?

If you understand Urdu, this is a very interesting debate, they exhaust all Quranic avenues.

[MeemWawMeemNoon]

How can someone who is dead supposed come back?

[MeemWawMeemNoon]

There are many, many verses from the Quran. I have presented one verse where Allah mentions that Muhammad (saw) is but a prophet and prophets have passed away before him.

The debate I have posted covers this topic in FULL.

This debate is clear-cut, don't fear its length. Its worth it. It is a matter of guidance.

[MeemWawMeemNoon]

Good point. *goes into hiding*

hmmm...let me think of a solution...

[MeemWawMeemNoon]

Yes, dear sister. I am working on the Surah Fatihah thread right now. I will find a way.

That one verse that I presented should be enough, but I will try to cover all angles.

My dearest brother, according to the Quran Allah has given Hadhrat Isa (as) death. That said, there is no mention that he will descend. It is mentioned that Allah gave him rafa' (raised him) to Himself. However, here rafa' cannot mean physical ascension because the same term has been used for Hadhrat Idris (as).

Nonetheless, if you understand Urdu this debate is very civilized and very fruitful. If not, we can go talk about it.

I am not here to preach Ahmadiyyat. I am very much inclined towards Ahmadiyyat though, only and only because Hadhrat Isa (as) is clearly passed away according to the Quran.

If he is passed away then he cannot return, therefore, Allah must appoint someone else. Ahmadis are the only group in ALL of Islam that believe that Hadhrat Isa (as) is passed away. There are some non-Ahmadi scholars that have concluded that, but that is at the individual level.
