If you're using the Uthmaani text, there is no jeem, so you can't stop. If you're using the Indo-Pak/South African texts, which is not recommended by mnay Hufaadh, then the rules alter a tad.
Uthmaani text, no jeem: you would recite min shay in in antum.
Indo-Pak text, with jeem: you would recite min shay (jeem) -stop (if desired)- in antum. So what you're basically doing here is when you stop, you're dropping the kasra tanween, as you would at the end of every ayah or when you stop in other desired place (last set of vowels).

That's correct. I thought the brother was referring to stopping there.Originally posted by DaZahroJaam View PostMIN SHAI En

Which huffaz? For what reasons? Not recommended for what exactly?Originally posted by *Mahzala* View PostIf you're using the Indo-Pak/South African texts, which is not recommended by mnay Hufaadh, then the rules alter a tad.
My teachers had no problem with the Indo/Pak mushafs.
The Indo-Pak mushafs do not count the Basmala as part of the Fatiha. This is the Hanafi position. And on the last page of Sura al-Hajj there is a note on the side stating the prostration of recitation (sajda tilawa) at verse 77 is according to Imam al-Shafi`i (ra). It is not a verse of prostration according to the Hanafis. There are fourteen prostrations of recitation according to the Hanafis.

For the basic reason that it takes into account many more (unnecessary) Tajweed rules that the Uthmaani text is fine without. Two of my teachers made me switch Quran's halfway through my lessons because what I would recite would have adopted many new rules. For example, the amount of mad's they have, the different sizes; thus differed elongations; the amount of waqf's they put in place all differ compared to the Uthmaani text.
