He was hard core Salafi before, now he has changed his stance

The guy clrearly says: he stopped being a salafi because it didn't suit his desires.

Besides, he still believes worshipping graves is shirk. Likewise he still believes greek philosophy in theology ( ash'arism & maturudism) is wrong.

So for many misguided Muslims he is still a wahhabi salafi.

Personally, I don't like him at all. He is a supporter of America against Muslims. He believes Sharia is compatible with US constitution and his own friends from the past believe he is a munafiq because he changes his worldview and methods more often than he changes his clothes.

Considering a grave or the dead body inside the grave as God is shirk but visiting graves for spiritual purposes, paying homage , offering prayers and having cultural and spiritual events there is not shirk.

Otherwise dump all the dead in the ocean as there is no need of any grave of anybody.

why do you people label everyone non wahabhi as grave worshippers? this is the problem I have with Wahabhi/Salafis. Yes hardcore Sufis are probably grave worshipers, but majority of muslims are not. The reason many salafis actually leave the movement is because of the arrogant attitude among the movement, even though they themselves make so many big mistakes. I actually know so many people personally who have left Salafism, hence the term (Salafi burnout).

You have to be realistic in situations and see where the actual Shirk is taking place, by labeling everyone as a kafir, you are only distancing muslims from Islam

Visiting graves in Islam has two main purposes: making dua for the death and reminding ourselves of death.

Asking the dead for help, serving food there, reciting Quran there or building and plastering the grave like temples is all prohibited.

Graveworshippers invented the name Wahhabi. So when a person uses the word wahhabi in a negative way is most likely a graveworshipper.

The salafi cult you are refering to is merely a small fraction of hundreds of muslim movements considered as salafi.

Karachi,

Do you believe that people who ask the dead for help are mushriks?

^ yes I do believe that, because that is clearly against Islam, however again, how many muslims are actually doing that though? not many, as far as I know, why label every non salafis as kaffir or mushrik then?

also, you are even admitting that salafis are divided in to hundreds of movements, so which is the correct movement then? why so many divisions, if this is the correct path to follow?

You and I may disagree but lets be honest. I dont label any non salafi as kafir.

Most salafis are misguided. Because they have created a sect. The whole purpose of dawah salafiyyah was to abolish sects and revive true teachings of Islam.

I dont consider myself a salafi. I believe in core fundamental principles of islam. But most people who are misinformed assume that anyone who practices orthodox islam is a salafi.

I learn from hanbali and hanafi scholars. If you study classic books in hanafi and hanbali law, you will see that its all what people now call wahhabism.

I wish we could discuss things based on mutual understanding without prejudice and hostility.

no he doesn't...
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
