I dont claim the moral high ground. I live there. You are deliberately misquoting me and misrepresenting my views and statements and you pose them as questions trying to get an answer.

This only means that you are either ignorant or desperate or both at the same time.

im not misquoting you neither do i have the need to mispresent what you said and anyone could understand your point.

wahabis are no where near higher moral grounds, callign muslim is not higher moral ground but a major sin and you need to say the shahada again.

so if lets assume for a moment that Amanullah khan was a kafir and he put the shahada on the flag, would you wipe your ass with it?
dagarwal, the guy is full of contradiction. Islam teaches us to not speak ill of the dead but he does it all the time.

              I have a question.

I recently looked upon a thread where Turkey has unbanned Hijab, and many members of the forum were speaking ill of Islam and Islamic practices.

I would like to ask if Afghans in general are practicing Muslims?

I don't mean this is an offensive way.

I am curious of whether Afghan people, or in general youth associate or disassociate with Islam. '

I was very surprised with some of the comments that were written on that thread, because I generally thought that Afghans are very strong Muslims.
I would suggest you go to Afghanistan and see. To be frank, in my humble opinion, despite our flaws, I feel Afghanistan is maybe the most conservative Islamic country in the world. When you consider our financial situation, the constant ravages of war, lack of schooling and literacy, and still see people by the droves practicing the way they do, as strongly as they do, all ethnicities included, it's a very beautiful thing. Like Shamlawar mentioned, this forum is essentially a hotbed for the almost non-existent, as a percentage, secular Afghans. Other countries, Pakistan included (excluding Pashtoonistan), aren't really anywhere near it in terms of their steadfastness.

I disagree with you. Muslim people in Pakistan are highly religious. They follow Afghan Taliban. There are political parties in Pakistan that have their own following, but most common people accept Taliban's tarjema of Islam.

Well I flatly disagree with you, most DO NOT, that's a lie. There petrified of it, their very liberal compared to Afghanistan, just look at their judicial code, their elections, movies, film, etc. The most religious parts of Pakistan are the Pashtoon tribal areas. If you haven't set foot in Afghanistan or lived there for any amount of time you really can't compare, most Afghans are in a unique position where they can compare the two as most Pakistanis cannot.

The most liberal areas of Afghanistan are as conservative as many of the non-Pashtoon conservative areas of Pakistan.

actually the kubalis are much more liberal than any part of paksitani society and kp is as conservative as any part of Afghanistan. The main difference is that afghanistan is less developed as far as infrastructure. Sindhis and panjabis are pretty conservative in pakistan, the main difference with them is they just have a different culture.

I flatly disagree again, some of the stuff I know goes on in Pakistan within those communities you mentioned I haven't seen even in Kabul, let alone in other cities, I can't say the same for the Pakistan side. I also wouldn't say that about all of KPK, maybe the tribal areas, but other areas are less conservative, not by much, but just a little less conservative then their Afghan counterparts. There is always more fisaad in more developed areas and because Pakistan is more developed, its a contributing factor, among.

I am not talking about the secrete underground things that go on, but we are talking about the general society.

i haven't seen too many dancing trannys at parades in kabul.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I don't know where your from or where you grew up but I doubt you've lived in Afghanistan for any period of time. I was being polite as I possibly could but the two countries and people are not even in the same ballpark in terms of conservatism. And I am talking about "general society" which I assume you meant was what you see out in the open. Most Afghans have lived extensively in both areas and most of what they see on the Pakistan side makes their heads spin, even people from large cities like Kabul, Kandahar, Mazar, Herat, etc. forget those from more rural areas.
