  • Life of this world

    Got this from facebook;

"After years of falling into the same pattern of disappointments and heartbreak, I finally began to realize something profound. I had always thought that love of dunya meant being attached to material things. And I was not attached to material things. I was attached to people. I was attached to moments. I was attached to emotions.
So I thought that the love of dunya just did not apply to me. What I didn’t realize was that people, moments, emotions are all a part of dunya. What I didn’t realize is that all the pain I had experienced in life was due to one thing, and one thing only: love of dunya."

We have to remind ourselves this. Always. insha'allah

    Great post.

Sometimes when i sucessfully manage to get off the computer I realise that I will die one day and everything I did in this world would be forgotten.

We will all go back to our creator one day <3

    Thanks bro.

Can someone explain to me what this verse really means? I know life is a test and all but still...
"Revenge is a dish best served cold".

      -Old Pashtun proverb

Life is a deception. Everything is materialistic. Having too much love for this world would be harder for us to seperate from this world at the time of death.

Materialistic things are like stylish sports car, luxurious houses, expensive watches, clothing, quality food, living in luxury and doing everything that money can buy. But once your time comes to die. You will die hard. Because you are too much attached to this worldly world (your luxury car, house, possessions). You simply wouldn't want to die and it will get difficult for you to detach yourself from life upon your death.

Example, if you walk from your house to your school regularly. It's not a problem for you since you are used to it. You simply walk and go to school. But one day your mom tells you she will be giving you rides on her car to school. She always gives you rides to school. But this one day comes when she tells you that you now have to walk to school everyday. It will be very hard for you to walk to school since you were used to "getting rides". Even though you have been doing it for a while, walking will simply be very tough for you. The same way if we attach ourselves with the worldly things, and when the time comes to leave, it will be very tough for you to die and return to Allah.

my dad told me that there was this one man who was dying. But he was able to 'die', he was at discomfort. He just wouldn't die and was very discomfortable and was unhappy. His sons were all around him. He told one of his sons to bring in a tape recorder and play his desired song which he loved to listen. When his son bought a tape recorder and staring playing the son on his deathbed. He smiled and immediately died in peace.

Similarly if we deattach ourselves from the worldly world and attach ourselves with Qur'an and Allah, then we will be impulsive to return to Allah, without saying "No... Allah give us more time to live, we want to enjoy", but no if you are too much into Allah and his book, then you will be energetic and demand death quick to return back to him.

So is nationalism and hatred for other ethnics. Bear in mind bro, there are good and bad from ALL countries and ethnic groups, when people generalise and stick a nametag on a certain people thats where the fitnah is. When I went through a similar phase as yourself, I realised it was a load of nonsense and the fact I wasted so much time thinking and acting upon those things. When there is a much bigger and important mission in our life...the akhirah....

                    Yep.

But even in islam, you have to fight opression. You have to fight injustice. You have to fight for your land if someone takes it injustly and rapes your women and kills your children. This will never be forgotten.

                    But you are right.

I was an out n out pakistan supporter until I realised the injustices of the pakistani army, leadership and hypocrisy of the people. Whats going on at the moment is anything BUT islam.

The sad state of the ummah today is that people don't care about the issues of others until it afflicts them too, it shouldn't have to come to that.

Laa ilaha illallahu muhammadur rasoolullah. Only Allah. Remember arno, the dua is such a powerful thing.

Because if this fatalism and other worldliness Muslims are failing in worldly affairs and one tiny Israel can destroy the whole Muslim world in few seconds and then we complain of outsiders, interventionism, aggressors, intruders.

we must love world, we must love dunya otherwise we will be subdued by those who are superior to us and this is what happening with us. One must strike a balance between mundane and spiritual, life and after death. Matter is a reality an done cannot avoid it.

The verse might have got some connotation or contextual interpretation.

Or follow the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and not love the dunya, but merely use it when needed.

Our problem nowadays is that we love the dunya too much, we don't want to let go, one tiny israel can deal with the muslim countries is because our leaders have sold our blood for money...e.g pakistan government billions of $ for our blood...Saudi Royal power for US control....pretty much the same with the rest of the countries.
