  • An Islamic History of Europe (BBC documentary about the great Moorish civilization)

I know pride is a sin, but I am still proud that my Moorish ancestors civilized the barbarians of Europe and created one of the greatest civilizations of all time. The great Moors were a mixture of Arabs, Berbers and other Africans who were Muslim and mainly spoke Arabic. They eventually conquered Iberia and the Ummayid dynasty ruled over the whole empire.

The Spaniards, Italians, Portuguese and French of southern Europe are mostly of Moorish stock even though the fascist White Europeans of the north/west always try to hide this fact and the Moorish history is often neglected/covered up by them due to their racist, nationalist and anti-Islamic views as well as general insecurity because the Moors were even more advanced than the Europeans of today.

It was these Moorish-descended Spaniards (Moriscos and Morenos) who were the ones that built the first non-indigenous cities like Santo Domingo and San Juan in the New World; they were the working class and the labor until the racist rich northern White Spaniards (Sangre Azul) enslaved the native Indians and later brought African slaves, who all mixed over time to form the "Latino" people.

Most Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Colombians, and many others who have Spanish ancestry (at least in part, since they also have significant African and Indigenous admixture) can trace their roots to southern Spain (Al-Andalus/Andalucia and the Canary Islands, both of which were and still are inhabited by the Moorish descendants) and they can also trace their roots to Africa, mainly the Bantu (in particular Kongo) and Senegambian (Wolof, Fula, Mandinga, etc.) peoples who were also part of the Moorish people.

The great Moors came from Africa and conquered Spain. Their rule lasted 800 years and their legacy lives on today throughout Portugal, Italy, France, Spain, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in their homeland of North/West Africa and even in Arabia, in the form of language, culture, food, architecture, genetics, science, knowledge, religious practices, and many other social institutions.

This documentary is very informative and well-made.

The Muslim presenter/host is also a descendant of the great Moors as is evident in his physical characteristics.
