What does Islam say about Psychic people?

According to the Kitab at-Tauhid, psychics are sorcerers and they should be executed. Using animals to foretell events is also sorcery and hence shirk. According to Islamic Law, the octupus and its owner should be beheaded. All those who disagree with me are mushrikeen and homosexuals.

Jundub (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated the following Marfu' Hadith, which At-Tirmidhi reported:

"The punishment for the sorcerers/magicians is that he be stuck with the sword (executed)."

In Sahih Al-Bukhari, Bajalah bin `Abadah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated:

"'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) wrote: Execute every sorcerer or sorceress". So Bajalah continued: "We executed three sorcerers."

Here's a clarification of what "sorcery" is in the next chapter:

Imam Ahmad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Muhammad bin Ja'far narrated from Auf, from Haiyan bin Al- `Ala', from Qatan bin Qabisah, from his father that he heard the Prophet (May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) say:
"Verily, Al-'lyafah (letting birds fly to foretell events) and At-Tarq (drawing lines on earth to predict events) and At-Tiyarah (taking sight on some object as a bad omen) are Al-Jibt (sorceries/magic)."

Fortune telling in Islam is haraam, and is considered shirk.

"The Salaah (daily prayer) of whoever approaches a fortune-teller and asks him about anything will not be accepted for forty days and nights." [Reported by Hafsah and collected by Muslim (Sahih Muslim (English Trans.), vol. 4, p. 1211, no. 5440).]

"With Him are the keys to the unseen and none knows it except Him" [Soorah al-An`aa,m 6:59]

"Say: None in the heavens or earth knows the unseen except Allaah." [Soorah an-Naml 27:65]

Well islam does acknowledge the existence of things like magic for e.g. because the someone did do black magic on the prophet. As for psychics that too is recognised. However islam forbids it because the prophet SAW said that whosoever goes to a fortune teller, has his fortune told, has denied the message of Muhammad SAW. Thus things which indicate telling the future such as horoscopes are considered haraam and your prayers dont get accepted for forty days.

@shomblay.......in psychology we studied that theres things like the barnum effect and cold reading that make people believe that which the psychic is telling them. Connections with fantasy proness etc were also found.

no im saying that the concept of being psychic is a social construct. People want to believe in it so they believe it to be true. Even psychological studies showed this.

Dearest Sangar, what you have failed to realize is that people have to study different faiths before understanding why some are rejected and why some are accepted.

My brother, that thread is full of posts. I requested you to start refuting them. You claimed that you read every single post on that thread. Start with one post and we'll take it from there. That thread will continue, it has its own pace.

The majority of the world population has not accepted Islam despite Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) being Khatamun Nabiyyeen. What do you think that someone who claims to be sub-ordinate to him will convert the whole world in one day?

Interesting you say that I am running away. Where have I gone to? I am here loud and clear; however, I am not here to preach. Not at all. I am discussing things with others members as posts come along. You on the other hand are claiming that Ahmadiyyat is wrong, but are not saying anything. At least others, are stepping up to the plate.

As I mentioned, go through the posts in that thread and tell me what parts of their interpretation is wrong.

Haqq is not acquire through arrogance, NOT AT ALL.
