Drawing Pictures of living things Haram ? ANd Where does it say so?

I've drawn people and animals many times when i was young, but now i'm afriad thinking it's a sin to draw living things too much.

i would like to believe that the God that i believe in and worship, expects me to have a better sense of logic than being doomed to hell for drawing a painting that i can't give a soul to, on judgment's day.
when you have a child with your spouse, you are creating something that does end up having a soul..God gave that ability and gift to you, you give it to your children. does that make you a sinner??when you admit that you are created by God and all your abilities are his blessing or what he has given you, how can you be comparing yourself to God?? do you draw on a canvas or a piece of paper with the intention of giving it a soul?? how can God hold you accountable for something that you did not intend to do?? only human beings are like that.

Narrated By 'Aisha : (Mother of the faithful believers) I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When Allah's Apostle saw it, he kept standing at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed the sign of disgust on his face, so I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I repent to Allah and H is Apostle. (Please let me know) what sin I have done." Allah's Apostle said, "What about this cushion?" I replied, "I bought it for you to sit and recline on." Allah's Apostle said, "The painters (i.e. owners) of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said to them, 'Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).' " The Prophet added, "The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures."
