Status and Pride among muslims?

This is one thing I really notice among muslims, doesn't matter if they are from South asia, Arab countries.. they over indulge in being proud of themselves and showing off and their status in the community is everything to them. I dont why our people lack humbleness. Of course Islam is totally against this kind of behavior and these things comes from our backward cultures and they have nothing to do with Islam. On the flip side I notice that a lot of westerners are much more humble than people coming from middle east, south asia etc...

we tend to judge alot. maybe because we associate correcting others as part of our dedication to our religion.

Its nothing to do with Muslims, it's a human trait. Have you not read history how white people have treated non-whites all over the world?
