now who is resorting to lying. when you put me in the category of those two, you know you are lying in your heart. both these guys would see paris hilton in the holy city as progress whereas i have posted why i see it as a disgrace, but you are still on my case. even if you agree with me you find some fitna to carry on an argument while the soldats and the toramanas of this world laugh at us. grow up.
i Simply asked a question and you could have answere dit instead of going all wahabi on me.

i didn't see any question marks in your posts towards me.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I don't think they care for our opinions on their ways of doing business. The only way to get them to question their ways is by boycotting their products. As I said, when you go to Makkah, don't buy their purses, gold, watches or whatever else they sell down there.. It's a supply and demand thing. No need to be emotional where business is concerned.

Dagarwaala. Calm down. Have a fresh drink of water before you react. Don't expect 100% agreement all the time. Not everything should be escalated into a full scale argument.

If you read back over this thread; Randolph's position is clear. He's stated clearly that he finds Paris Hilton stores in Makkah distasteful. If you are honest and calm before you react you might see this.

The supply/demand argument in DZJ's post makes sense. If people want McDonalds, they'll make sure they get it.

this is our holy city, we have the right to be emotional. anywhere else i wouldn't care or not care as much. the mecca issue shouldn't be reduced to the western rebuttal of "if you don't like it, look the other way." this should at least be the only city on earth where we don't have to go out of our way to avoid filth and its influences. yes, of course this is a small issue but this is not just about some hollywood *****, its about the hypocrisy of the so called custodians of the holy cities and what it means for the future.

if people have to shop for all these brands, they can just go down the road to Jeddah, why open all these brands in MaKkah right beside the holiest place in Islam? logically and religiously it doesn't make sense.

the funny thing is I dont think there is even a Paris hilton store in Jeddah or even Riyadh, so one has to wonder why saudis allowed it in Makkah

if you want to complain and cry about an issue rather than finding a simple solution for it, by all means, go ahead. You have the right to being miserable like that.

it is not simple though, this store is just one thing. They are turning the whole place in to Las Vegas that is the core issue.

Btw it's already too late, saudis have won. we can't really get rid what has already been built. All the historical sites are already gone replaced by luxury hotels/malls etc..

Lots of Saudis are against this. There was an outrage on why a woman who made a sex tape have her fingerprints left in the holy city if Mecca.

                              They need those shops.

^ I have been to Makkah atleast 20 times and I can tell you that most people who are living in downtown Makkah are actually south asian and african immigrants who are basically labrours and cleaners of the city, they can't afford these luxury things. The local Saudis dont actually live in downtown Makkah, they live on the outskirts and in the newer areas of Makkah, which are far away from the mosque

These luxury hotels/malls are targeted for the rich hajjis mostly.
