Bismillah, We begin and end all with the name of Allah (swt),

Zama grana wrora this is a long discussion in and of itself but I will try to keep it nice and simple and answer it inshallah with the help of Allah (swt).

Ahhh, music. Whether it's haram or halal? or maybe makruh?? There is alot to say but it depends on HOW you use it. For example is there swearing or bad influences? (which like 99% of english songs are one way or another) then it is for sure haram because its making you either do these thigns or think about them too.

Or their may be a song that you can't seem to get out of your head which provides a different problem since it may lead to distracting you from ibadah. Shaytaan has made that song attracting and addicting to you for the purpose, is there any other purpose of shaytaans evil doings?

However, on the other side if you listen to a song once in a blue moon or sumthing and there is a good message being sent and it does not cross the islamic law or its not addictive THEN we shud not plug our ears and run away.

Out of experience from being a music addict to not listeing to it anymore or mabye once in a blue moon... It is just a waste of time just like any other worldy thing like too much games or tv. I'm sure if those thigns were at the time of Rasullulah (saw) he would have said something about them because these are things that distract us from what is really important and that is knowing ur deen properly and implementing it in our lives.

As for my last statment I would like to add is how I changed from a statement from a Sahaba (ra). Upon occasion a Sahaba heard sumone playing music and the sahaba came up to this man and said something to the sorts of, if you would have spent your time right (following islam and studying it) you would have become a leader and people would have come to listen to you. This is SO true, after you listen to 15 songs what do you get out of it? NOTHING.... but when you listen to an islamic lecture and listen to quran wallah you benefit and Allah sees every good deed.

Also imam malik wanted to become a singer when he was young and his Mother changed him ans discouraged him by saying he doesn't have a good voice and put him in an islamic school so the Mother was VERY smart and rightous because she knew what is impotant and what was not.

May Allah azawajel have mercy on all of us and May Allah make us of the mustakeen and follow his path the right way and stay on it, ameen.

                    Sallamuna

                    Bismillah

Wrora, the dressing in women is described in the glorious uncreated book of Allah azawajel

Allah says in Surah noor 24 verse 30 "...And tell the believing women to lower thier gaze and to protect their private parts and not to show off their adornments except only that which is apparent, AND to draw their veils all over "juyubihanna" (their bodies, bosoms..) and not to reveil their adorments except to their husband or fathers or..."

As you see here Allah has explained how a woman should be and dress outside or around non mehrams.

A woman NEEDS to dress properly because this will NOT only protect themsleves but also help men in society for future sins.

Also I've seen alot of pashtun girls in the west wear these tight jeans and I mean this is unacceptable because this is showing your body structure and shape which basically anyone who looks can see and it seems as if their is no way jeans can not be tight. These honorable pashtun girls have been influenced either by going to sckool or reading "hollywood" magazines (or should I say shaytan magazines) or other things because they live in the west but that is not a excuse a women must dress modest no matter where she is actually in the west you should be more well dressed. And this can be achieved by wearing burqa (abaya) or doing niqab (I dont find anything wrong with niqab but in the west its may be an issue for some) or just wear loose clothes and wear the required hijab that you are supposed to.

Khuda tobah now a days you can not even walk outside because the new "style" the west has imposed is these short short jeans which you can see the whole legs and the women like they are basically asking "please come and look at these legs" this is the signal that the west wants our women to portray, should we give in?

Also the hijab is one part of rightousness. Yes, their can be better women without hijab then hijabi's also better women with hijab than non hijab it's the heart that matters most BUT if the inside is really clean the outside will also show it. Their is no point in "forcing" hijab on older women if they are going to take it off the second you turn your back like whats happening in afghanistan right now with the burqa these women wear it and then right when they go somewhere else and other ghair mehram men are their they take it off and dont even care for it.

So bottom line is, just dress properly anyway you want pashtun, arab, Iranian, whatever... with any clothes as long as it does not cross the islamic law (is not tight, revealing...).

Why is it that in the thread called "Understanding Islam," most PFers were asking actual questions -- like "What does Islam say about XYZ?" type of questions. Over here, so far, it's mostly, "What do you think about XYZ?" We're asking for Zazai wror's opinion rather than Islam's stance on it! Over there, NO ONE dared to ask the answerers about their knowledge of Islam, or what qualifications they had for answering any questions; over here, we're basically asking Zazai why we should trust his answers.

Why the different treatment to Zazai that most of us gave to the ones who ran the other thread on answering questions about Islam?

NOTE: This isn't directed at anyone; it's just an observation about most of the posts here so far vs the ones in the other thread created for the exact same purpose.
