come on now, go and read yahoo news or cnn comments on muslim related articles. you will find thousands of westerners basically calling for the destruction of muslims and their countries. have you read about the protests that christians hold up every year at the arab festival in detroit? where they hold up signs that insult muslims and toss pig heads on the festival grounds? if this is merely a numbers game for you, i think you will find that non muslims have the monopoly.

as for spreading shariah, its funny that spreading western democracy in muslim lands by force is encouraged and celebrated but the non existent shariah boogyman is treated like its aids.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Very good points from both Toranama and Randolph.

I think Muslims are sick and tired of being pushed around all the time by westerners. They are not protesting this particular film, it's the colonization. "yes you have bases all over our land. Yes you control our governments and economy, but must you mock our damn faith....al the time?" the average Muslim contributes to the western economy as much as the rest.

spreading democracy by force, is not encouraged by me.
and yes, at this point in time, westerners do have more power and are and have been also misusing that power, but from the views i have seen on pf, it shows that westerners do nearly everything that muslims disapprove of, but some wish to stay in our midst, despising us.
there are also videos of muslim hate of the west and advocacy for the muslim takeoever and sharia law, on the net.
it appears to me, now, after what i have learned on pf and study of history and differing views, that todays manipulations and wars are not just because of economies but are also to do with religion and desire for power over other religious groups.
the fundamentalist christians want to back the jews, the jews want to pull down the muslim mosque and build their own temple there, in it's place, in jerusalem. george bush is a so called christian and many of his advisors, proposing american world domination, are jews and christians. al qaeda, advocated jihad against america and on and on.

the problem with a reaction is that more idiots will be mocking and provoking.

show me where it says in the qua'ran, to take revenge for blashemy.
i am not sure about whether the sharia, which i read has blasphemy laws for non-muslim dhimmis, is created from rules set out by the qua'ran. i got the impression it is manmade laws.
don't forget, it is also, a minority who are doing this mocking with cartoons and films. there are multi millions of non-muslims who have nothing to do with this behaviour. i would never even have looked at those stupid cartoons if there had not been such a reaction from muslims.

ok, here is something that astounds me.
in the united states, there are about 2.6 million muslims.
in canada, about 580,000. in europe maybe more than those 2 numbers put together.
so where is the protesting, from all of this lot, on behalf of afghanistan and iraq and the palestinians?
even i have been to 2 protests against the israeli treatment of the palestinians.
the only 2 people that i have heard of, doing fine brave, outspoken protests against the war in afghanistan, is malalai joya and dr miraki.

why do these muslims come out to sensibly and peacefully protest about this sh** movie, made by an ignorant coptic, when the united states government is perhaps polluting afghanistan and iraq, with depleted uranium?
              what is worse?
2 people on this forum, said they were planning protests, then i have not heard any more of it.
america also has a muslim lobby group.

so can anyone tell me why this issue brings people out when there are far more important and serious reasons to be protesting?
