      very good speech indeed

But one thing I have learned about extremists is that they will never listen to any one, These extremist mullahs/talibs whatever you call them are fighting for their egos, not for allah or Islam or for muslims. These people are the most evil people, no matter what you tell them or what evidence you bring from Islam, they will always listen to their egos

This is one thing, but what do you say about the Expedition of Muhammad ibn Muslamah (rad)....

In 624, Muhammad ibn Maslamah volunteered when the Prophet Muhammad called upon his followers to kill Ka'b, a chief of the Banu Nadir, who had written poetry the Muslims found offensive.[1][2] Muhammad ibn Maslama collected four others, including a foster-brother of Ka'b. By pretending to have turned against Muhammad, they enticed Ka'b out of his fortress on a moonlight night[1] for what was supposed to be negotiations of Ka'b's sale of food to them. After Ka'b walked out of his fortress to meet Muhammad ibn Maslama and his companions, they attacked Ka'b and killed him in spite of his vigorous resistance.[3][4]

This is from Ibn Ishaq/Ibn Hisham not a hadith , it is not cited as a canonical aspect of the Sunnah, when it comes to Muhammad(saw)'s actions we rely on Sunnah.

Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369: , Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: Allah's Apostle said, &quo..

            Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it." Then Muhammad bin Maslama went to Kab and said, "That man (i.e. Muhammad demands Sadaqa (i.e. Zakat) from us, and he has troubled us, and I have come to borrow something from you." On that, Kab said, "By Allah, you will get tired of him!" Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Now as we have followed him, we do not want to leave him unless and until we see how his end is going to be. Now we want you to lend us a camel load or two of food." (Some difference between narrators about a camel load or two.) Kab said, "Yes, (I will lend you), but you should mortgage something to me." Muhammad bin Mas-lama and his companion said, "What do you want?" Ka'b replied, "Mortgage your women to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our women to you and you are the most handsome of the 'Arabs?" Ka'b said, "Then mortgage your sons to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our sons to you? Later they would be abused by the people's saying that so-and-so has been mortgaged for a camel load of food. That would cause us great disgrace, but we will mortgage our arms to you." Muhammad bin Maslama and his companion promised Kab that Muhammad would return to him. He came to Kab at night along with Kab's foster brother, Abu Na'ila. Kab invited them to come into his fort, and then he went down to them. His wife asked him, "Where are you going at this time?" Kab replied, "None but Muhammad bin Maslama and my (foster) brother Abu Na'ila have come." His wife said, "I hear a voice as if dropping blood is from him, Ka'b said. "They are none but my brother Muhammad bin Maslama and my foster brother Abu Naila. A generous man should respond to a call at night even if invited to be killed." Muhammad bin Maslama went with two men. (Some narrators mention the men as 'Abu bin Jabr. Al Harith bin Aus and Abbad bin Bishr). So Muhammad bin Maslama went in together with two men, and sail to them, "When Ka'b comes, I will touch his hair and smell it, and when you see that I have got hold of his head, strip him. I will let you smell his head." Kab bin Al-Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Muhammad bin Maslama said. " have never smelt a better scent than this. Ka'b replied. "I have got the best 'Arab women who know how to use the high class of perfume." Muhammad bin Maslama requested Ka'b "Will you allow me to smell your head?" Ka'b said, "Yes." Muhammad smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka'b again, "Will you let me (smell your head)?" Ka'b said, "Yes." When Muhammad got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions), "Get at him!" So they killed him and went to the Prophet and informed him. (Abu Rafi) was killed after Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf."

he was not killed for insulting The Prophet, he was killed for trying to plot an ambush against Muslims. who were just a small community, different context.

According to several ahadith in Sahih al-Bukhari, he wrote poems satirizing Muhammad, eulogizing Quraish and enticing them against the Muslims. He then rode to Mecca where he started to trigger the fire of war and kindle rancour against the Muslims in Medina. When Abu Sufyan asked him which religion he was more inclined to, the religion of the Meccans or that of Muhammad and his companions, he replied that the pagans were better guided.[4]

Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf then rode to the Quraish at Mecca, in order to lament the loss at Badr and to incite them to take up arms to regain lost honour, noting the statement of Muhammad: "He (Ka'b) has openly assumed enmity to us and speaks evil of us and he has gone over to the polytheists (whom the Muslims were at war with) and has made them gather against us for fighting". Some sources suggest that during his visit to Mecca, Ka'b concluded a treaty with Abu Sufyan, stipulating cooperation between the Quraysh and Jews against Muhammad.[1]

So that's why Muhammad(saw) killed him, not for Insult; Muhammad isn't an egotistic idiot like Taliban are.

We know when someone says anything against the party leaders, people starts killing, insulting, beating each others. Even in this forum when someone says anything against Bacha Khan or any other Pashtun mashar, the guy is warned and then banned.

How can we keep quit over the insult of our beloved prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Even on this critical issue we start debating. Shame on you.

                        More from the Sunnah

In Abu Dawud we find these words: "Ka'b Ibn Ashraf used to satirize the Prophet through his verse and excite the infidels of the Quraish against him. (Abu Dawud, Vol.II, Chapter" Banishment of the Jews")

Ibn Sa'd has these words: "Ka'b Ibn Ashraf was a poet who composed satirical verses against the Prophet and excited the people against him."

The Commentary by Ibn Jarir (Vol. V, p.79) says: " Ka'b ibn Ashraf went to the infidels of Mecca and excited them against the Prophet and asked them to wage a war against him."

so it wasn't because of mocking, but what they were doing the mocking for.

You can not debate on every issue. It depends on circumstances, situations. If our Muslims govts were strong enough and represent the sentiments of its public then this issue could have been handled in a better way but when you see no hope and no solution but your own brothers becomes your enemy and join hands with your enemy then you do whatever you can.

If a thief can steal something due to the poor financial situation, it is the circumstances that allow him to do such, the same way we Muslims are in such circumstances.

It doesn't matter; Muhammad(saw) never killed anyone JUST for insulting him; .....if you really respected Muhammad, you'd follow his example
