how can one stop hating himself?

  • #2
by hating others and realizing there is nothing wrong with ones self.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

    Sayyid Qutb

Yes when you find out the reason why you hate yourself and fix the problem..
      Hating others wont fix it..
Maybe meditate or practice religion.. << these are to those who are not that religious..
No one is perfect.. Maybe we just need to realize that..

In going the path of libertation of fears and impressions and seeking harmony - reflecting and accepting your errors!

You can't "hate yourself" unless you have been called a "loser" by half of your family.

karachi, you sound like a good person to me. you appreciate the world and it's beauty so i think you have a good heart. what's to hate?
we all go through phases of not feeling great, but it will pass.

just write down the good things you DO like about yourself and keep the list handy, as a reminder.

stop dwelling in self pity. it can be your worst enemy. no one else is responsible for your failures in life other than yourself. be in charge of your own life and don't wait around for others to make way for you in order for you to achieve whatever it is that you want from life. be your own source of happiness in life and pass it on only to those who bring out the best in you. there is no such thing as hating one's self.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

read 2010's posts and how God has made people less gifted with intellect to show us how lucky we are.

I don't know why one hates themselves but its usually to do with feelings of guilt, not living upto expectations. Try to get rid of your negative thoughts, thoughts are from the mind and they are just that, nothing more than a thought. They are fake and by product of your upbringing, social circle and the society as a whole. The real "YOU" is your soul and not your mind. There is a battle going on inside you between The Ego (your mind, negative thoughts, Fake you) and Your Soul (your consiousness, real you). IF you are hating yourself it means that you have given the Shaitan (your ego, mind, negative thoughts) the power to overwhelm you.

You can not simply hate YOURSELF because the real you is your soul not the body in which it resides and not the mind and the negative thoughts. The soul is pure, divine and eternal. It simply can't be hated. What you hate is your false notion of who you are. The image in the mirror which you think is you but which you are not in reality. Humans beings in general like to cling on to things and get attached to them and all things are temporal and fake. When we get attached to temporal and fake things they can't satisfy us. For example no amount of money can bring you real peace of mind and bliss. It might give you temporary happiness but will soon fade away. Stop looking for happiness in things and the outside world. Nobody and nothing will make you happy unless you accept who you are and let go of guilt and repent sincerely. Getting married will not solve your problems infact they could increase them because if you don't love yourself, you can't love somebody else and guilt of failed marriage might make things even worse.

The Quran says that Allah (swt) doesn't change the conditions of the people who don't change themselves. Look at the the things that make you hate yourself and try to replace them with things which make you truly happy. Don't worry about what people say, be true to your inner self and the feelings of guilt will decresase.

Your suffering makes you stronger. Your hardships are by which Allah (swt) changes you from a stone to a diamond. These hard times will polish you character and make you stronger.

Try to be in the company of positive people who accept you for who you are, do the things you enjoy, if you don't like you job and it brings you sadness then change it. Stay away from negative people no matter how close they are to you for a certain time until you gain the strength to not be effected by their thoughts. Don't run away from your problems, sleeping or doing useless stuff might distract you for a while but at the end you have to come face to face with the fact. Its better to face your demons now and get it done and over with.

Allah (swt) says that a man is not inflicted with a burden which they can not bear. Everyone in the world has some kind of hardship, no one is alone. May Allah (swt) ease your burdens.
