The same whith Muslims of today, they were colonised, after colonisation some time they had the same style as during colonisation( secular goverments). But that is going down and we are entering dark ages now.
Rome was never regarded as an empire of "knowledge and enlightenment" it more known for destruction. They destroyed Greek knowledge and contributions and it were the Muslims that brought Greek knowledge back to humanity.

Thats not true, Romans even borowed the Greek knowledge and the greek religion. Even the Roman architecture was similar to the greek one. The Romans did not only destroyed they also build citys and contributed to science.
The Greek knowledge under the Romans was alive. They were not really that spiritual like the Egyptians or the Greek but saying they only destroyed is nonsens. Here are some Roman contributions to the world.

Architectural styles (arches & columns, domes, sculptures, frescoes, mosaics...)
      Concrete/mortar/cement
Efficient highway system (still followed today by modern roads)
Mass entertainment : stadiums & amphitheatres (ancestors of modern stadiums)
Aqueducts and viaducts (the world's first bridges to cross valleys)
Thermal baths, central heating and floor heating
Wine-making (creating a lasting tradition in France, Italy, Spain...)
Roman alphabet (the world's most widespread writing system)
Latin language and descendants + influence on other European languages
Roman legal system (basis of many European legal system to this day)
The Republic & Senate (inspiration for modern democracies)
The Julian Calendar (including current names of the months)
Festivals (Carnival, Christmas, etc. had Roman origins)
The 3 course meal (starter, main dish, desert)

        ^^^

Lol, your a big European Choopolash. Romans were a bunch of barbarians who sacked Egypt, including burning their libraries. Romans sacked Jerusalem, and nearly destroyed the whole city.

The Romans got everything from the Greeks and Persians.

You said earlier how the average European Joe in the past was able to read the bible. That's false, as the bible for a long time were only in Latin and Greek. So they were only exposed to the verses of the binge which the priests would read in sermons.

          The Christians burned the library.

And I said that monks did an effort to understand the old documents and becuase they wanted that christianity would spread faster they also were in favour on how o read, that doesn't mean that every European could write and read. Please use some brains.
And just becuase I admire the european contribution to science doesn't mean I like everything about europeans. Stop spreading your racist hatred here.

How on earth did the Christians burned the library of Alexandria when it was burned down before Jesus was born?

There's evidence it was burned down by Caesers army http://www.crystalinks.com/libraryofalexandria.html

            They also sacked Jerusalem.

There gladiator sport where they make prisoners fight to death in front of large crowds were barbaric.

You really don't know much about the topic, younging.

Thats not true, there were several damages that the library had during its time. The romans never went there just to burn the library what the Christians and later the muslims did, becuase they didn't like the knowledge there, that contradicted there belives.

read this and you will see, that in difrent time difrent peopel damaged it. Its was not the Romans who finaly burned it to the ground. And the library excisted in the time of christians. You really have no clue of history do you?

The gladiators were most of the time cirminals. Or war prisinors. They were not some inocent peopel that Romans took from the streets.
And by the way, muslims stoned peopel to death and beheaded them publicaly and not to forget the cutting of hands. Is that not barbaric?

No, those were punishment prescribed by the lord of the universe.

Ok buddy, a teenager is going to teach me history. And use my words against me to think your high school level history is knowledgable.

Graduate High School first, then all take you a bit more serious.

False, columns were used by the greeks, arches were introduced by the romans by domes were introduced by the muslims. sculptures and mosiacs predates romans.
Highway systems were built by the persians.
concrete, wine, 3 course meal predates romans
Aqueducts were used the ancient mesepotamia and babylon.
Latin language is a dead language
The solar calendar was used by the ancient Egyptians not to mentions the Mayans in the Americas before any europeans set foot on the americas.
Renaming the months after arrogant leaders is no big accomplishment.
Wow, Christmas, you can thank them when you get presents on that day. do you go to church on Christmas.
Legislative bodies(senate and republic) are as old as man.
Roman legal system is based more on the Torah. Actually Europeans current legal system has more greek influence than Romans including democracy.

The Romans started a fire that burned majority of the books, during Julies Caesers time. Christians started to come out more than a 100 years later. They did not get into any sort of power until some centuries later.

No doubt the Christians and Muslims did destroy the library, but your ignoring Caesers initial destruction.

Just because you think it's a "fact," don't make it one.

Your also ignoring the Romans sacking of Jerusalem
