i stopped right there. i don't want to live like a machine...so then i did a little research and came across others who has felt the same way. apparently, you can trap your mind somewhere from which you may or may not be able to retrieve it in future. it's suggested for people who don't know much about meditation, not to do this to themselves as it could have unpredictable (or undesirable) outcomes.
if one is unstable and full of fears, meditation is not suitable for you.

what is there to fear?? I m an adrenaline junkie, mellowing down confuses my system and makes it unstable. Maybe light sessions every once in a while. And right now I have exams so there is no point in brainwashing myself.

So Meditation is like making your mind go blank?

Skardo District Of Pakistan.. Deo-Sai! was the only place where I felt myself out of the world. The place is amazingly beautiful .. I would like to die there.

dj, excuses... excuses. you sit around for hours on the net and brainwashing yourself with rubbish movies. meditation is more of a cleansing from all that rubbish, clogging your mind.

the meditation i have been doing is vipassana, indian buddhist. one lets the thoughts flow through and learn to detatch from them.
after awhile all sorts of things can happen. realisations, amazing feelings, calmness lasting afterwards in your daily life.
chills you out, in other words.
