    dalits (Low castes)

    I just wanted to create a thread to recognize these poor people who suffer the worst form of discrimination in the hindu caste system. They have been slaves of the upper caste hindus for the last 4000 years.

    even in pakistan in punjab/sindh the discrimination against them is very apparent. even though pakistan is a so called muslim country

    They must have done something real bad in their past lives and got reincarnated into dalits, surely this justified because its the ordain of Brahma.

    on a serious note, these things look like humans, i mean they have a nose, two eyes etc they even wear cloths and can smile, maybe if the indians realize this then this cast system will be eradicated

      i used to hang out with people from this group, when i lived in india. amazing survivors and some tough little cookies amongst them.

        India has the caste system because its embedded in their culture.
        However what you have raised is an entirely other topic. Why does Pakistan have a caste system and why are some people treated with bias in our country. Why do we have choora's? Weren't we supposed to shelve these traditions?

        We Pakistanis need to remove caste system and intolerance from our society as well.

        Maybe i'll write an article about it sometime...

          (embedded in their culture) is the main problem for India and even pakistan, even in pakistan the culture of punjab and sindh is (hindu) in a way, this is why it is part of the system to treat them bad

          I remember once in Lahore in the neighbor's house there was a beautiful girl (probably low caste) who use to come for daily chores in the house, she was seriously one the most beautiful girls I had seen, yet people use to treat her so bad because she belonged to a low class community
