Do not be sad Wait patiently for a happy outcome

The following hadith is found in the book of At-Tirmidhi: "The best form of worship is to wait (patiently) for a happy outcome."
    1s not the morning near? (Qur'an 11: 81)
The morning of the afflicted is looming, so watch for it. An Arab proverb says, "If the rope becomes too tight, it will snap."
In other words, if a situation reaches the level of crisis, then expect a light and an opening to appear. Allah says:
And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will remit his sins from him, and will enlarge his reward. (Qur'an 65: 5)
And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him. (Qur'an 65: 4)
In an authentic hadith, the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) relates this saying from Allah:
"I am with the thoughts of my slave towards me, so let him think of me as he pleases."
    Allah, the Almighty, says:
They were reprieved] until, when the Messengers gave up hope and thought that they were denied [by their people], then came to them Our Help, and whosoever we willed were delivered. (Qur 'an 12: 110)

Know that, truly, with hardship there is relief. Some commentators of the Qur'an said (considering it to be a hadith) that: "One hardship cannot overcome two reliefs."
The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said in an authentic hadith:
"And know that victory comes with patience and that relief comes with hardship."
    An Arab poet said:
Some eyes are restless while others are in sleep,
In meditating that which may or may not occur,
So leave worrying as much as possible,
As carrying the burdens of anxiety is madness.
There is your Lord, who provided you with solutions to yesterday,
And He will similarly provide for what is to come tomorrow." Another said:
"Let events flow in their predestined path,
And do not sleep except with a clear mind,
Between the period of the blinking of the eye and its opening,
Allah changes things from one state to another."

Don't Be Sad - By Aaidh ibn Abdullah al-Qarni

Everyone needs to be reminded of this wise advice !

Strange that I was just thinking about Al-Termezi this morning.
I was wondering whether he would be considered Afghan -
as Termez is right on the modern Uzbek-Afghan border.

Of course would depend on the frontiers in his era.

Is much known about his life ?

I have traveled all the way south to Termez, and saw that
    horrendous "Soviet-Afghan Friendship Bridge".

    The town was nice, though.

I wonder if it was difficult at his era to obtain good books in
such a relatively remote locale, far from Kabul, Samarkand, Bokhara, etc. --
that is what I was musing about Al-Termezi, then I saw this today,

Thank you for this optimistic post. Timely for all !

This is easier said than done. I've been patiently waiting for 7 years, it's starting to wear off.

            Your welcome Catya sis.

Brother 7 years is nothing, you hear stories of people who've been hidden in bomb shelters for 20+ odd years to protect themselves from tyrants etc. Can you imagine being in hiding for that long? I couldn't...

We had some family problems going on earlier some years ago, I started crying and couldn't take it, I went to a mufti that I knew and he said to me "this is nothing!!" many people go through harder things, some have life threatening illnesses, some cannot see nor walk. That is why patience is strongly preached in islam because it is vital.

Everyone is made equal but have different defects, nothing gives such an excuse to resort to weed or weakening the imaan. I hope you understand this my brother.

Dazahrojaam khor, you are partly right, when one maintains a positive mindset he will be strong and harder to break. Think about it, we all have sad and happy moments this is life. This life is simply a test, remember that

Whatever you have say alhumdulillah, appreciate and build upon it..

              ^^

No offense but no Arab (other then Muhammad Ibn Abdullah PBUH) or Mufti can soft-talk and say somebody else is going through more "problems," and I will magically feel better. Only people who haven't been through serious dilemmas will get cured that fast.

Even the Prophet (Sahih Bukhari, real authentic collection) would pray to god to protect himself from helplessness:

*Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle said to Abu Talha, "Seek one of your boys to serve me." Abu Talha mounted me behind him (on his riding animal) and took me (to the Prophet ). So I used to serve Allah's Apostle whenever he dismounted (to stay somewhere). I used to hear him saying very often, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from, having worries sadness, Helplessness, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by other persons unjustly." I kept on serving till we -returned from the battle of Khaibar. The Prophet then brought Safiyya bint Huyai whom he had won from the war booty. I saw him folding up a gown or a garment for her to sit on behind him (on his she-camel). When he reached As-Sahba', he prepared Hais and placed it on a dining sheet. Then he sent me to invite men, who (came and) ate; and that was his and Safiyya's wedding banquet. Then the Prophet proceeded, and when he saw (noticed) the mountain of Uhud, he said, "This mountain loves us, and we love it." When we approached Medina, he said, "O Allah! I make the area between its two mountains a sanctuary as Abraham has made Mecca a sanctuary. O Allah! Bless their Mudd and Sa (special kinds of measure)." *sahih bukhari Book #65, Hadith #336)

Cheer up, Idiot ! Many people are supporting you in spirit to handle whatever it is
                which is the problem.

                What is "Hais" - a food ?

Pakhtunzai is such an easygoing member, now we can see some of the roots
of his amazing equanimity and always-pleasant demeanor --
in what he explained above about his own view.
