Narcissism is a psychological term which means ''extreme love with oneself''(khod pasandi) .In this blind emotional love one neither see nor realize his or her mistakes, rather if you want to point such mistakes or criticism he or she may get anger and defend himself by some false logic and rational. There are mainly two type of Narcissism, one is healthy narcissism like, self-confidence, self respect etc.while the second one which is the subject matter of this writing is unhealthy narcissism. In back ground context, the word Narcissism has been derived from an ancient Greek mythological story that say that there was a beautiful and brave prince hero called Narciss, His people love and like him so much that all the time Narciss was in the gathering of praise and admiration. This praise and exaggerated love addict him so much that as a result Narciss fall in love with himself…All the day and night he use to set in front of crystal water lake to see his face(at that time mirror was crystal water).Narciss never cared for rest of the people rather just look into his own eyes even without eating,drinking.One day he was gazing himself in water and after a long time he felt extreme thirst but due to the fear that if he touches water, his reflection will break and disperse (his beauty will be broken into many pieces) so he died at the side of lake, Greeks says that later on DEWTAAS converted him into Narciss(Daffodil) flower. In psychology, this Narcissism has been used for an illness in which a person fall in love with himself and can not bear any criticism on his personality. The tragic aspect of this illness is that in such state patient does not consider himself a patient rather he became the victim of ethnocentrism. That is to consider his ideology, culture and civilization superior than other and always to undermine rest of the people…
The same illness can be found among Civilizations (In Urdu it is called NARGASI TEHZEEB) if they collectively become the victim of that mind set illness. In every civilization, this illness can be observed(like Naazi ,Jews etc) but the ideal example of this is MUSLIM UMMA.The fundamental concepts/symptoms of Narcissism among all Muslims of universe are common and dominant, which are as under:
- One day Islam will dominate the whole universe( Deen e Islam sub Deeno per ghalib ayega
- Islam is a complete code of life. The solution for all human problems lies in Islam.
- Muslims had rich civilization(but that is historical based concept once Muslims ruling the world by expansionist motive and drives like referring ancestors with proudy ego ,Salahuddin Ayubi, Ahmad shah abdali,Mehmod Ghaznawi,(bot shikan) Tariq bin Zyad.The Mughal emperor s rule on united India on the name of Islam ,etc etc
Mind it that neither Quran nor Prophet reflected such concepts or expansionist motives, rather due to misunderstanding and misinterpretation, Muslim umma use to live in such ethopia.If Islam is the complete code of life ,is anyone among narcisst Muslims has complete implementing social system in the shape of modern state which can compete modern west???Did anyone dared to criticize Muslims past expansionism on the name of Jihad? Or can any writer and intellectual criticize Muslim rule over Spain and sub content (inspite of being in minority they ruled majority)…The ideal example of such Narcissism are Taalibaan,religious leader called Ulema, Mulla and religious political as well as rest of the civil society of Pakistan. This concept has been supported and supporting by ARAB SAMRAAJ through funds in the shape of MADRASSAS and MOSQUES etc..SARZAMEEN E HIJAZ will be the centre of this Khilafat phase wise revival (while Muslim scholar say there is no place for WATANIYYAT in Islam''in taaza khodaaon me watan be hay.Iqbal). Why not we criticize Arabs for their discrimination among Muslims by not giving citizenships to Muslims. Is this not against the spirit of last sermon of Prophet in which Prophet negated superiority of Arabs over non-Arab and vice versa. Is Arabs going in accordance with Quran and Prophet way?But still they are leading Muslim umma.The Khadimain e SHAREFAIN of Arabs (the pandits of Islam) will lead this movement which will start from PAK,Afghan united revival of Khilafat and slowly it will dominate the whole universe including the West(no matter how much we are backward in social life).
