i know you have a brain, therefore i know you have a spirit. it might be good or bad.

since i know a rock does not have a brain i know it cannot have a spirit.

i can shout at a rock and it will not respond. i can open a rock i know it will be rock. there is no evidence of a spirit within it.

i can speak to a human and they can speak back. i know it will have some personality if it does. i can hear it.
