Do duas really work? Discuss

Brother when you perform a Duʿā your heart need to be pure, sincere, tawassul and show patience in order to be accepted by Almighty Allah (swt)

Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “If you ask, then ask of Allah, and if you seek help, then seek the help of Allah.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2516]

You should also always remember that when you call upon Almighty Allah (swt) by performing a Duʿā you are not allowed to call upon anything else than the tawḥīd of Almighty Allah (swt)

If this is fulfilled then of course Almighty Allah (swt) will answer as proven by the Holy Qur'an:

غافر

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ

Sūrah 40 āyah 60.

النمل

أَمَّن يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَّعَ اللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Sūrah 27 āyah 62.

This is one of my favorite Dow'āt peformed by the dear Sheikh Muhammad al-Mohaisany (May Almighty Allah (swt) guide him in the right patch) about the struggles of the Ummah and humiliations.

Allahummansur deenaka wa kitabaka wa sunnahta nabiyyika wa ibaadakal-Muwahhideen.

Duas are very...powerful.

Duas...work better than...anything.

I have...seen some...great signs in my...life.

Like Al Arab said...duas are done...with a pure heart and...soul.

With a lot...of patience.

Let go of the..Worldly...things.

Put your...head in Sajdah...in total

repentance...and prayer.

Then...wait and never...doubt.
