Why we cannot discuss the things feeling the realities. If sheikh is laughing or helping laugh other people, he may be a joker and making jokes will be his job. However, what are the realities of evolution and theories, so are debatable and need seriuos thinking. It needs knowledge, above all start reading and understanding unbiased, although difficult.

I wanna say, evolution or any other theory, if for example we consider it against our religious belief should not be thrown into a dust bin. It needs discussion and serious thinking, why and how it is against, and if perhaps we understood our belief wrongly.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostHmmm I'm not sure I fully understood what you said...

Though I have never had the patience to listen to the 'Peace TV' thing for more than a few seconds, I once saw this guy's lecture. He was trying to prove the existence of God my the spam mail/forwarded SMS level arguments, something like a student and a teacher and coldness/heat and darkness/light. It is totally understandable that he is employed by the Peace TV madaris.Last edited by Nadir Shah; 06-16-2010, 10:18 AM.

I do not say that he or someone else is right or wrong, but just to throw the theories in jokes and laugh at these is not the real approach. Let the theory and analyze it, where it is conflicting to your belief, revisit your belief, revisit the theory and if you are at the conclusion, that you are true, then believe it as you think. However, I understand that evolution theory is not so easy to be rejected. Very strong accompanying arguments are there. But I really do not know why these people are rejecting and considering it conlficting to Quran. I read the Quran but mention very less about the history and geology before Adam. As I udnerstand, Quran is for Human being, and so it strats with the hsitory of Human being. But evolution is speaking about many things others.Originally posted by Nadir Shah View PostThough I have never had the patience to listen to the 'Peace TV' thing for more than a few seconds, I once saw this guy's lecture. Malgariya, I understand your need for being polite, but let us be straightforward. Where did the Koran incorporate the Adam/Eve story from? Almost all the psuedo-history, that the religious scriptures are replete with, is rooted in Paganism and mythologies.Originally posted by erlangner View PostI do not say that he or someone else is right or wrong, but just to throw the theories in jokes and laugh at these is not the real approach. So, I guess, we can safely exclude the scriptures as a reliable source of knowledge. Outside of that, evolution has scientific evidence to back it (Fossils, Homologies). The Creation story , in addition to be arrogantly stated without evidence, cannot answer the simple question: Why Create at all?

Ya You are also right. Ya evolution theory is supported with many evidences. How Quran incorporate Adam and Eve story is another discussion. I believe strongly in Quran without thinking it can wrong, however how one interprete it, I analyse at least.
Quran did not oppose evolution.

I don't think that is relevant at all. As I said, the scriptures, be they from Sinai, Nazareth or Mecca, are not reliable sources for the explanation of natural phenomenon and history.Originally posted by erlangner View PostYa You are also right.
