Very beautiful, but this reminds me of a story that a wise man shared with us ...

He was at a beautiful masjid in the emirates / somewhere like that, and there was about a 1000 ppl in the beautifulllllllllll courtyard for jummah... It was such a beautiful masjid, that you're eyes just sparkled because of the beauty... anyways then azaaan was done, and it was time to do jummah prayer, and there were only about 40 ppl praying.

Alhamdulillah for beauty, I am not saying there's anything wrong with it .. I just wish we wouldn't end up being hypnotized by such things and forgetting the more important things... anddddddd I am not saying EVERY masjid is like this...it's a story .. no one shooot at me, because I'll shoot back!

Anyways just reminded me of the story and thought I'd share ...

but mayyyyy I see a few of them in my life time InshaAllah ...

      has anyone been ???

There are many things to see on Penang island. One of these is this floating mosque. It was built after the tsunami of 2004 destroyed a nearby mosque in Tanjung Bunga.
It is certainly one of the most beautiful structures in the surrounding area. Against the beautiful skyline and the surrounding beaches, the floating mosque or Masjid Terapung as it is known to the locals, it is testimony of the resilience that makes up Penang.

Hagia Sophia, an Eastern Orthodox church converted into
a Masjid on the day of the Fall of Constantinople. Now it is a museum..

The Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa (School) is considered stylistically the most compact and unified of all Cairo monuments. It is one of the masterpieces of Mamluk architecture. The building was commissioned by Sultan Hassan bin Mohammad bin Qala'oun in 1356 AD as a mosque and religious school for all four juristic branches of Sunni Islam. It was designed so that each of the four schools of thought - Shafi, Maliki, Hanafi and Hanbali - has its own area while sharing the mosque.

The Hassan II Masjid in Casablanca is one of two
Masjids in Morocco open to non-Muslims.

Glasgow Central Mosque is the largest mosque in Scotland, and one of the largest in the United Kingdom. it was formally opened in 1984 by H E. Abdullah Omar Naseef, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League.
The Muslim population of Scotland number some 50,000 and comprises mainly Arabs, Pakistanis, Turks, African, Malays and Indian Muslims. The mosque also services many foreign students attending Glasgow's prestigious universities and provides a focus for the Muslim community.

One of my dreams in life is to do a Masjid tour. I desire to stand behind some of the most prominent Imams in the Muslim world. I see it as a possibilty, and one day, when I go, I shall share all that I have gained. Undoubtedly, the three religious journeys Rasulullah SAW has encouraged; Masjid Al Haram, Masjid an Nabawi and Masjid Al Aqsa. After that, it would be Masjid Al Kabeer in Kuwait, Dome of Rock and Al Umbra . The Middle Eastern region has many to name. I deeply desire to pray in Faisal Masjid in Pakistan. I havn never been there, but someone very dear to me has, and I want to relive their experience if I can. I've been to a few in Malaysia, they're stunning.

Angaar, very nice thread. Keep them coming InshaAllah
