To answer your question, no nail polish is not haram. Like Farishta mentioned, your wudu is not valid if you have it on, since its a painted coat on the nail. However, if a woman has legit reasons as to not pray, then she may wear nail polish. Even if the time you are able to pray, you just have to remove it before doing each of your wudu. So yes that will get annoying and tedious to do five times a day, so its best if you just leave nail polish on only when you are excused from prayer.

          Here is a source

Islam Question and Answer - Does nail polish invalidate wudoo

There is also the controversy whether a woman is allowed to wear nail polish outside of home, since its considered an ornament. But i dont have much knowledge regarding this.

As others have mentioned, nail polish itself is not haram! But it is rather useless in a practical sense because of those aforementioned reasons. It makes wudu invalid as water cannot penetrate it so you would only have a small time frame each month where you could go without removing it. With this knowledge, one must make the decision to wear the polish or make salah.

How it makes wudu invalid? Its just a coat. If you paint a part of your body or there is ink or something like a band or strip then it will also be haram? Even your skin is a layer.

If the nail polish is clean then you wash your fingers or nails and these are clean and you can offer the prayers . The basic purpose is cleanliness not touching of water.

This is the islamic answer to your question,so if you do,you have to take it up before wuduu and after it you can use it and then again you have to take it up

but i really appreciate such questioning, may Allah accept your good deeds and vanish yours and all the muslims sins and guide us to the straight path...and enlight us and our body.

For example if you wear something than you take a shower, will the water touch everypart of your body ?...
