You are wrong my friend!Originally posted by ozymandias View PostEducation has nothing to do with honesty. I would trust the person that is trustworthy.
Education has to do a lot with honesty!
In my culture even an unhonest person is seen as uneducated or falsely educated!
Education is the way of a person to truth - it can be lerned in verevy way , if you learn a language, learn producing guitars, learn karate, learn biology - if Your teacher is a teacher with his knowledge on the technical topic he has to give You knowledge that leads you to truth, if he gives you only technical knowledge he isn't a teacher. Eduation is the biggest problem of the world today - almost 100% of the world are uneducated or wrong educated.Ա՜խ, ընկել եմ քար ու քարափ,

I think you are misusing the term educated here. An honest person will provide you the 'correct' answer as they see it, to the best of their ability. They may be wrong, but they think they are right. A dishonest person knows they are wrong, but will still try and claim they are right. For instance, an honest, uneducated person might claim that man has never been to the moon -- and think they are right. A dishonest, educated person might know man has been to the moon, but still claim they have not. Education has to do with correctness, not honesty. A properly raised person will try to be honest, and I think you are confusing that with 'educated' and 'dishonesty' with 'false education'. Alchemist is being honest when he says that he thinks evolution is false, he is just poorly educated on the topic, which is a separate issue.Originally posted by Arevapasht View PostYou are wrong my friend!

No my friend! I am not missusing the term! It is quiet materialistic to divide both!Originally posted by ozymandias View PostI think you are misusing the term educated here. Honesty is not only to tell a fact but to admit how the fact is known and possible ways yourself could be wrong.
Trouth is the mother of any education.
May i give You some stpid but simple examples.
You can learn to use a knife- but your education isn't completed if you do not learn what for to use it(you can use in positive and negative way, am i right?)
you can learn music theory and learn to write yourself music - but your educaion isn't completed if you do not know how to use your muscal skills(you can use them in positive and negative wway, right?).
To learn to be responsable for your actions is part of education.
Cheating, telling information as trouth knowing that maybe your own knowledge isn't deep enough, telling a trouth in an agressive way so that it will hurt and never be heard to are clear paths of wrong education or a lack of education my friend!Ա՜խ, ընկել եմ քար ու քարափ,

But none of those things is *dishonest* dishonesty is deliberately lying. Making a mistake, or being wrong on accident is not dishonest.Originally posted by Arevapasht View PostNo my friend! I am not missusing the term! It is quiet materialistic to divide both!

Cheating is directly dishonest, do not You agree?Originally posted by ozymandias View PostBut none of those things is *dishonest* dishonesty is deliberately lying. Making a mistake, or being wrong on accident is not dishonest.
Showing Yourself as competent without having competence is dishonest not in what you say - but in You insist telling trouth without admiting You are not informed enough!(surely more responasbility has the one who has more knowledge than the other but still cheats - because less knowledge you have , less you can be responsible for your own actions)
Telling truth in an agressive way is also dishonest , it is dishonest to your listener , as you say a right thing in a way he won't be able to see it as trouth but as ofending - what in a way is the same as cheating - as it means you do not want your listener to know the truth but to show your superiority over him.Ա՜խ, ընկել եմ քար ու քարափ,

You are Sunni Muslim ?Originally posted by Arevapasht View PostA dishonest person is not educated! he perhaps went to school, he learned perhaps to use logarithms, but he remained uneducated as he didn't learn acquist the most important lesson.
A honest person longs for knowledge, as he is honest!
If he has no education yet so he cn be surely easy manipulated as he is honest - so even him You should trust only with care, not out of bad feelings to him but out of possibility that he could be cheated and didn't know it.
A dishonest person who recived education may give you his knowledge in a false light, as he didn't understand what is education.
But not to trust nobody is a quiet sad destiny - better to trust everybody, but........................how says the proverb.......Trust, but verify!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheating is a deliberate lie. You don't "think that it's ok to lie about cheating", you know what is right, and what is wrong, and still do the wrong thing.Originally posted by Arevapasht View PostCheating is directly dishonest, do not You agree?
But if you honestly believe you are competent, it is not a lie to say you are competent. Honesty has nothing to do with truth or reality, it has everything to do with what you believe.

I don't see how you can possibly think telling the honest truth is dishonest.

You are only being dishonest if you *know* what you say is false. It is not dishonest to say something incorrect if you *believe* it is true.-------------------------------------------------

Seriously ozzy? Your going to poison the well after being humiliated like that?
Anyway...
I am sure Averapresht is confusing wisdom with education.
