I think sometimes its hard to pray on time with our jobs. I am at work during dhuhr, and my lunch is always before it so I have to wait an hour later when I get home. But, thats probably common amongst everyone.

I also often dream I wake up for fajr and I actually don't. I turn off my alarm and dream away...then wake up and realize my prayer mat hasn't moved since Isha. Does this happen to you? Its realllly frustrating!

This thread should spark a healthy discussion and hopefully it will help the members to get educated about prayer.

I don't wake up for fajr.. Other ones I try to catch em, but my biggest problem is I can't maintain concentration while praying..don't know Arabic so have no idea what I'm reciting that causes me to either make a lot of mistakes, pray too fast and stuff like that

Would you be able to imrove your prayer habit if I gave you some material to help you learn the meaning of the prayer, and read more about prayer to understand how to maintain your concentration?

^ I don't understand arabic - except the ones in my prayer. I memorized them in english and arabic. So when I say them in arabic, I am concentrating on the words in english so that inshAllah my parents are accepted and understood.
You just have to make that effort. You can also pin up the translation on a wall in front of you while you're praying and read off that until you're learning them. Because you will be reciting it 5x a day - you'll learn it really quickly inshAllah!

fajr is hard. But by far the most rewarding prayer. When I re-wake after fajr and my hours sleeping after it, I feel so happy and proud of myself. When I miss it because I sleep through my alarm or dream I had already prayed, I feel like my day doesn't start off right.

ya but the summer is different. Its like 3 hours into my sleep. But for those of you who skip fajr, seriously, you need to try harder. You need to fear Allah. Make the intention to atleast set your alarm and get up for it. Then when it goes off and you fight to not want to get up - keep in mind that is shaytan telling you to miss your prayers! Then tell him where to shove it, and get up and pray!

Don't you all fear Allah swt? If you can't even find time in your day to pray 5x - you aren't even completing the MINIMUM requirements to being Muslim! There were times I didn't get a break for 16 hours, and I would go home and perform 4 prayers before bed. But my intentions were to do them, and so I did.
If you're sitting on PF for more than 20 minutes - you can EASILY find 20 minutes (spread out throughout the day) to perform your salaat.
If you pray, trust me, you'll get used to it, it will become a part of your life, and you will feel MUCH better about yourself.

Alhamdullilah i pray 5 times a day with sunna.. sometimes i miss fajr prayer but i pray it laterz before zuhr or with zurh..

The only problem i got is when i do niatt,i think its not perfect so do it again.. takes me 4 to 5 times to do niat from heart...
i sometimes forget too that how many rakats left or prayed..
