lol as if they have something to learn from us
When you watch the videos, it appears that he is not preaching as much as he is attempting to give the Europeans the viewpoint of the Muslims on the cause of 9/11 and the impending/continued? clash of civilizations that interventionalism is fomenting.

I would say that it is important for Europeans and Americans to hear the other side of the conflict and to understand, even if they do not accept, the premise of why the Muslim world is seething. We would agree that it is not because Mullah Omar and Hekmetyaar want to come to London or the US and put hijaabs over Britney Spears or Angelina Jolie and I think he is alluding to that... as we see in Egypt, there is a defensive and angry tone where those same Tahrir Sqaure masses are extremely upset about American support for Israel and American actions in the Muslim world.

I think the thread title just refers to the site and probably should be renamed.

I doubt Americans will watch this with any care as the jingoism has ramped up today. I am sure Admin Khan and others could tell you that every radio station has GW Bush clips playing right now (at least here in Connecticut and certainly back down South where my family is) and actually is playing clips from the EMS calls made that day to shore up emotions in the listeners. The discussion and discourse has once again turned from logic and "why do they hate us?" to "never forgive, never forget... emotion trumps all."

I like how your website has a whole section dedicated to shia bashing...
that is really going to win europeans over... and then calling it "genesis and evolution of sheeah" ...clever ...almost too clever.

Are you shia? Not that it matters. If you are, then perhaps I can pick your brains at some future date.

I guess what I am trying to say is that growing up, in the US especially, there is this false impression that both sunni and shia have that all their theological difference are from politicial divisions harkening back to whether Ali should have been Khalifah or Abu Bakr.

This is what I initially thought as well up until I read Nahj ul Balagha. Then I realized that there are very real differences between sunni orthodoxy and shiite orthodoxy.

These real differences are playing out in front of us with the internal politics of Iran and Iraq in the personage of Moqtada Al Sadr.
