Who is Israfil?

Israfil is an angel. I am not entirely sure about Israfil's role as an angel, but I know he is the angel of death. Towards the end of time, he also is the one that blows the horn preceding the end of the world.

Someone else can elaborate, but I think this is a healthy discussion to explore.

Israfil is not the Angel of Death. Israfil (one of the Archangels) is the blower of the trumpet on the Last Day.
