She also says that I am brainwashed because I have muslim friends since converting. She threw my Quran on the floor and kicked it. I wanted to smack her but I just cried.
Tolerance is what I'm doing. But its not easy when she does what she does. InshAllah Allah swt makes her understand because nothing I've done works!
First, you should try to hide the quran or anything with the quran on it from her. Do not allow her to do what she did ever again.
Second, keep in mind only Allah can guide someone. You can keep praying for her guidance and try your best to give her dawah.
There were many sahaba whose parents did the same thing. One of the sahabis mother went on hunger strike and told him she will not eat until he leaves islam. And he told her he will never leave islam, so she can eat or not eat on her own free will.
You are not alone. There are some people who you can speak to while many you cannot.
Manana - you're all so awesome!
Its hard. I just fear them dying with hate in their heart towards me, and me having to feel that for the rest of my life. I try to stay positive, but they intentionally try to make things harder and tear me down.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
Wow
First of all, yes I would rather spend my time on PF. ALMOST everyone is nice and I enjoy their company.
About the garbage bags, my mom cleaned out her shed and thats why there was more to add.
I want to marry a Muslim - like I said several times, I love Pashtun culture. But knowing from my experience, as a non-Pashtun, if I have no expectations I have no disappointments. I am not looking to marry into a culture, but to a Muslim.
I do make money, but I also had to move out in the middle of my studies, and I have huge student loans that rack up interest by the second. So, to avoid paying more interest, I give them like 80% of my pay right now.
I wouldn't say I beg for sympathy and attention. People ask me questions, ask me to post them in a topic, and I do so. Because they're not all meanies like you and actually want to see what my life is like. I share the good and the bad. And quite frankly, with that attitude, I don't give a crap what you think.
I do live in Toronto, and yes there are many Muslims. I am NOT alone. I am involved with many of them, I have a group of friends. They know my life, and a few have been attacked by my mom, so they don't enjoy coming around.
I hope that answers all your questions. Feel free to run your mouth some more. I'd be more than happy to clarify.
I don't care if I get banned or not not but I'm gonna say what's on my mind about you because many things you say do not add up:
In your post "Why I became Muslim" you said "My mom found out where I lived, and threatened the people upstairs, broke a window, and threw all my belongings since I was a baby on the front lawn in garbage bags." and then yesterday "She again brought all of my stuff since I was a baby in big garbage bags and said she wants nothing at home that reminds her of me - wishing she had 2 daughters so she could drop me off at the curb for garbage day because Muslims are the filth of the earth and I am nothing but filth in her eyes. "
did she take back all your belongings the 1st time she brought them to you? It makes NO sense
In your post "Why I became Muslim" you also said "I struggled so bad for one year, and finally got an amazing job as a teacher, and was hired WITH hijab! Not everyone is as racist as my family thank goodness!" Yet in many other posts you complained how you were struggling so badly financially and wanted to get married and in others you said what great money you make as a teacher. You are so full of contradictions.
This Pashtun man you expressed interest in who helped you out financially all these years since you are so poor. If all your DRAMA stories about him & his family are true I'm sure he would LOVE that you are posting it online for all to read. From knowing this guy you have made it one of your goals to marry a Pashtun lol. Is that your crazy way of hoping to prove his family wrong about you? Are you hoping to find a husband here on this forum? I wouldn't put it past you because day after day you are screaming, begging for sympathy and attention.
You have told us over and over how you hate being white lol but honey being on PF every waking moment is NOT going to turn you into a Pashtun.
If what you say about yourself is true (Which I HIGHLY doubt) and you live in the Toronto area. You are NOT alone. There is a HUGE Muslim community there and a huge number of reverts but instead of getting involved with them you'd rather spend all your time on PF!
