One of the most disturbing things in our current day and age are sick and perverted individuals posing as imams.

I got to know Bijligar Mullah first when I was in UK. I borrowed the car of a friend, and he had like a dozen of Bijligar cassettes in his car. So at first I thought he is pretty funny. But later, when I got to learn more about Islam, I realized that clowns like him only undermine the message of Islam. His perverted jokes, his mockery and his obsession with profanity is very disturbing.

To see a clown like him having such wide audience is very discouraging.


I am sad to see how unfortunate we are as a nation. Sometimes I watch Arab tv channels and I see these sheikhs who are so eloquent and sophisticated. And how they have such a braod perceptions of what goes on the the society. And how they try to address all the hot topics in a civilized and productive manner.

But we, as a nation are very unfortunate. We have clowns selling cassettes and cd's all across the Pashtun belt.

We have a few very well educated and knowledgeable Imams among us. Like Maulavi Abdul Sabur, Sheikh Ameenullah and Ustad Abu Bakr Safi.

But very few people actually know them. But everyone knows Bijligar Mullah. Even those Pashtuns who are not Muslims any longer.

You are NOT allowed to preach Islamic subjects through profane discussions and examples. I don't know why would people waste their time watching or listening to him. His CDs were all over Peshawar and you would always find a bunch of people paying for those CDs. I always expected a ban on him but it never happened.

Mullah Bijligar's approach might not be "scholarly," however, I would take him any day over Wahabis and Taliban. Mullah Bijligar is entertainment at most, if he is not taken seriously. The Wahabis and Taliban are death if you don't take them seriously.

What Wahabism and Talibanism have done to shatter the credibility of Islam to the whole world can never be surpassed. Wahabis and Taliban have insulted Islam to such a high degree that no one could ever beat them. However, they say that this is Islam, they are not misrepresenting it. Islam is not peace, they say. You feel peace once you accept Islam, they say. Wahabism is responsible for compelling Muslims to follow "their" version of Islam or otherwise. This was perfectly illustrated during the Taliban regime. I call it a regime because it was political.

From the looks of it, Mullah Bijligar is bringing preaching via comedy--I don't agree with this style. However, this cancer, Wahabism, has to be wiped out. The whole of the Muslim world is suffering because of these Wahabis.

These Wahabis are preaching Islam and correcting Muslim from the comfort of the Western countries where they reside. They recruit innocent Muslims and play with their innocent emotions and use them against Muslims. Today, Wahabism is a means to political control over the whole of the Muslim ummah. They have a lot of money and they use it to brainwash Muslims via preaching, publishing books, sending their trained scholars worldwide, building "mosques," and etc. Their scholars are all busy establishing Wahabism as the only answer to Muslim problems by finding ways to discredit any argument that would obliterate their ideology. Then these tactical "scholarly" works are published and are distributed to places all around the world, in the name of "true" Islam.

Bottom line is that people should acquaint themselves with the Holy Quran and understand it for themselves. You should not be a blind Muslim. Otherwise, you would fall easy prey to these Wahabis. They know this--that not too many people know Islam proficiently. And, they also know how to recruit passionate young Muslims who have written off their lives to use them for their political means.

These young recruits who have given up on life are then pumped up with the promises of the Hereafter and all of its treasures. Slowly, but surely, once they have control over their minds then anything is possible.

End of the day money talks. These Wahabis have a lot of it. They will buy Muslims and use them against Muslims.

My post stays as is.

I am talking about present day Wahabism. I have admitted that Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab was a good man. I am talking about how Wahabism is being used today for political reasons.

This is something that you cannot reject.

I would suggest a brotherly advise and request that you be impartial and read more about how Wahabism is the means to gain full political control over the Muslims' agenda.
