Yeah i am trying. Like i have the pakhto accent now I can understand words here and there, but the verb conjugation is quite tricky for me. I bought two softwares, and my dad is helping me with the conversational part. And i am going to start speaking to my uncles in Pashto because they speak the Kandahari pashto. My father and mother speak the northeastern dialect. Since my great fathers are Durrani i want to speak both.

It is by far the most romantic and professional dialect of Pashto besides arent you orginally a Kandahari!
Yeah i want to speak both.........here let me tell you my family history:

Yes my originality is from Kandahar. My family is from the district of Arghandab. My fathers family are descendents of Ahmad Shah Baba....we come from one of his grandsons, Timor Shah's son. Timor Shah, naamekhoda had 24 sons. All of my uncles have been named from the sons. Anyways, during 1895, my great father was asked to come to the East to work and aid Abdur Rahman Khan. He was given a huge chunk of land in Laghman. So from then on, my family has been assimilated as Laghmanis. Though my fathers family lived in Kandahar for a long time, in fact, most of my aunts and uncles were born in raised there.

                  Arghandab is a Alokozai stronghold.
Yeah we are a refugee to Laghman, we have been there since 1895. Though we speak the eastern dialect, my grandfather, his father, and his father were jirgas and ghazis of Laghman. So we settled well there. My father was born and raised in Laghman, his father was, and his father was. So we basically became one.

Though yeah, you are right, we are originally Kandahari.....wow i learn more and more here

                              Is being Pashtun that important?
Okay lol, so more marriage related talk.

Wow, that's a interesting question, I'll keep it short and simple.

I don't particularly have like some sort of checklist or anything of that kind, it just depends on the person themselves and what they're like - don't really have like a set peraonlity type if you get me. I could go on into habits/personality traits I like and don't like, but that'd be pontless. A pious Muslim is the main charactersitic I look for.

Me personally, to be quite frank, no. I'm not greatly fussed if he's Pashtun or not, it's a huge preferability though. But as long as they're Muslim I'm happy. (Can't really see myself marrying an Afghan/Pakistani who isn't Pashtun.)

In saying all that, families see it all differently kana.
