Malgariya, If you plan to have a serious and objective discussion on the principles of Marxism or its dynamics or anything related to it, I am all ears.
But If you want to discuss Karl Marx's penis or Engels sex life with me, I apologize, I am short of time.

Malgariya, there are no religiously motivated conflicts. There is no Moslem versus Jews and Hindus and Christians and no Jewish-Shiite alliance. All conflicts are based upon the need of the belligerent forces for resources.

Its the same old divide and rule strategy and unfortunately many gullible muslims are falling into their trap. You will be surprised how America armed both saddam and the Iranian regime during the Iran-Iraq war to keep the war going. Arms industry is a lucrative business and the longer the wars go on the more weapons they can sell. Both shias and sunnis suffer just as much as each other and we shouldn't take sides. Look at saudi arabia killing innocent shias in Yemen recently, they suffer as much as us. Please don't rush into judgements and keep an open mind. Look at the bigger picture.
What stupidity!! What is it with moslems blaming the US and the West for everything? Did the US and the West goad Mr Saddam and Mr Khomeini to kill millions? Did the US and the West kill millions in Bengal using Al Badr and Al Shams? Is the US behind the Perso-Arab rivalry in the Gulf (It is to some extent)? Is the US behind the sectarian conflict in Pakistan that has killed hundereds? Is the US behind all the terror that has befallen the Pashtun Watan? The US may have supported the regimes that have commited these crimes but the prime responsibilty must reside with these Moslems.

First of all, I would to counter with two points

          1) If shia's are your enemy then why did your Sunnis accept their assistance against the Soviets?

          2) Where was you when Shia Hezbullah was fighting the whole Israeli Army, I thought Israel is a friend of the Shia people.

Alqueda helped America invaded Afghanistan by destroying it with its Aid and weapons.

Taliban helped Pakistan invaded Afghanistan through Political ways that is why your coward Mullah Omar is hiding in Karachi or quetta with ISI protection.

Its a very famous character of your typical Muslim.
He/She will blaime everybody but not themselves and when they finally admit there wrong, they hide it by saying Allah is testing us.

In DI Khan, ive never seen one Muslim protest against Shia vs Sunni conflict, they slaughter eachother to pieces, and its not America or other western countries telling them to do it, its Mullahs who openly say you must do it.

            Its truely very Sad.

Malgariya, my blood boils when I think of this.

Last year, when the Gaza conflict was on. Every dala dawoos in Pakistan took out rallies and protests and stuff against Isrealis. We see all sort of India bashing seminars and stuff for the people of Kashmir.

Get this. In 2009, 1080 people died in 334 attacks in Pakhtunkhwa. Did you see anyone in Gaza or Baghdad or Srinagar stand up for us? Why? Are Pashtuns not moslems(unfortunately they are. Damned be the Mahmud of Ghazni)? Are we not humans? This reminds me of the Islamic Conference in Lahore in 1974.
Sardar Dawood was the President of Afghanistan. He did not attend tghe summit, instead he sent his envoy. The envoy said to the Arabs 'You are selling Palestine and stuff on us. What about the oppressed Pashtuns and Balochs inside Pakistan?'.

Day by Day, As i read and read

Iam becoming convinced, that the whole khalifa and ummah unity talk is so Arabs have some economic power over the west its rivals.

Ive never seen a single Protest for Pashtuns,no where in the world, i only seen one done by the PMAP Uk in london last year, but only few attended, we have been killed, bombed, slaughtered and no has protested for us.

                • @ MWMN, somehow, I knew I would be accused of having said that Islam is a faulty religion. So I made sure NOT to say “there’s a problem in Islam”; I said, instead, “perhaps our beliefs are faulty.”

Note that I said “our beliefs” and not “Islam.”

Why, you ask? In a minute, I'll explain.

                  Your question was:

To explain, Islam is a theory, like all other religions; it becomes practice only once it has been practiced; it can be practiced only once it has been interpreted. Our beliefs are OUR interpretations of Islam. What I have a problem is with certain beliefs, certain interpretations, NOT with Islam itself -- hence my response to your question.

In a few weeks' time, I will give examples of these beliefs with a detailed explanation for *some examples of "Islamic" teachings* that are still open to interpretation. When I post it, I will let you know.

IF this post is referring to me, then all I can say is I don't claim to know everything about Islam. And I don't pinpoint flaws in *Islam*; I pinpoint flaws in the beliefs of most Muslims; I pinpoint problems in interpretations. There's a difference between Islam (the "theory") and our beliefs and practices as Muslims.

Is Irshad Manji the only Muslim woman (authority, as you call her, though I disagree) you know in the west?

By the way, she has a book
called The Trouble with Islam, which, in my mind, is not something a scholar or intellectual -- or any authority of any group of people -- would write or say. When I heard about this book, the first thing that came to my mind was, “This woman, like majority of the Muslims, believes that there’s only ONE interpretation of Islam; that means she hasn’t studied the multi-interpretations of the religion and is saying there are problems with the RELIGION.” As such, the book is not something I myself find worthy of reading, although I am likely to read it just to see what she thinks.

I'm not afraid of being bothered, if that's what you think, wrora. I'm only appalled by the attitudes of many members, by their ignorance, by their intolerance.

I am only amused when I feel "bothered," if you will.

But it's good for me because I'm learning to prioritize, learning to know who is fit for a (public) discussion and who’s not, whose views I can give attention to and whose I can ignore.

                  • Thank you for clearing up the matter.

So, let me get this straight: You don't think there is any problem with Islam itself but only with how Musilms themselves practice Islam?
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

they are not interested in the truth. All they care about is spreading falsehood, casting doubt and promoting disbelief or shi'ism
