OK Mutakhasis!!
I have a question for you!!!!
"We are all sunnis here, so I dont think there is anyone here who would support this temporary marriage, it is like posting an article about why Christians should not circumcise, BUT, why do we need this article here?"
Just tell us what troubles you man???

If all of you guys are so upright and noble, how come you resort to meanness against your'e opponents. As you all would know there are two Ahadith,
- one saying the hypocrite is known when he resorts to meanness when confronted
- in the end times people shall speak cheaply of the greats of the religion of the early periods.
Here are some example from your'e own GOLDEN WORDS.
Please try to avoid using such Golden language in light of the two Ahadith I mentioned.

Well, Umar did other things, too, ...........Umar later decided that it was better if people did tarawee together. I once read somewhere that he said, "What a good innovation this is!"

oooohhh!! Nice, two compliments being given here, the mOOOZLEMMM instead of Muslim, and calling the classical scholars being fabricators.Originally posted by Nadir Shah View PostMalgariya, what shall we do with these conflicting hadith? This is basically what I think:
You are all wasting your'e time including ours, whereas the world thrives and yearns to progress, the so called religious scholars cant decide if two angels can pass through the hole of a needle.
Well, if you dont have better things to do, then know what happened to the so called scholars the last time they were measuring the width and breadth of angels and needle holes.
The Mongols rolled them up in carpets then trampled them like useless rags under their horses.

I am extremely saddened to read Qrratagai's logical reasoning. Reading your posts is so evident that you think that you are correcting Islam's "flaws" from within. You are actually criticizing Islam, which is fine. I don't have a problem. The only problem I have and I mentioned this many time to you, is that don't do it as a Muslim.
Irshad Manji calls herself a Muslim and she has become the authority on Islam among Westerns in our time. This is you Qrratagai.
At first I gave you the benefit of the doubt, now I don't anymore. I will continue to read your posts and answer them, but I will read them as someone who is a critic of Islam. Someone who thinks that Islam needs to be changed.
The more I read your posts the more I find that you have an issue with Islam at every junction. I have yet to see you use logical reasoning to defend Islam--not to say that you should, but simply to illustrate that you have tried to understand the other side.
You are very smart, and you are using it to cause internal strife--exactly what Irshad Manji is doing.
You rather give hadith precedence over the Holy Quran.
This post is not meant to attack you, it is meant to illustrate what I feel about your stance on Islam.Last edited by MeemWawMeemNoon; 05-26-2010, 09:04 AM.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

The reality is that Mutah was permissible in the early days of Islam, but was eventually banned categorically by the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم). This is very similar to wine, which was at first permissible in Islam, and it was only later in time that the Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) forbade it. The prohibitions against wine were expounded slowly over a period of time. In the beginning, drinking wine was permissible and many of the Sahabah did it. Then, the Quran declared that wine was harmful and bad. After some more time, the Quran forbade approaching prayer whilst drunk. After the people had become accustomed to this, it was only then that they were ready so that Allah and His Messenger (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) completely forbade wine.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The above part makes total sense to me why mutah marriage was allowed at first and then prohibited by the prophet (SW). Hadhrat Umar (ra) did not prohibit it but Rasulullah (SW) forbade it with the permission of Allah (SW). To me the disadvantages of Mutah far outweigh its advantages and I am glad its forbidden.
One thing we must keep in mind is that Shias do not recognize sunni ahadith which are contradictory to their beliefs so its futile to quote ahadith to them as evidence of why Mutah was banned. Similarly sunnis don't accept shia ahadith which contradict their beliefs so its useless to quote shia ahadith as proof of permissability of Mutah. The whole shia-sunni difference comes down to ahadiths and a sincere person must ask themselves who (shia or sunni) did the better job of preserving the sunnah of the prophet (SW).
Also Al Kafi is not a sahih hadith book bur rather a collection of ahadith from weak to sahih. There are almost 16000 ahadiths in Al Kafi and only 4 thousand are considered reliable and even then not all scholars agree on their reliability. Thats why shias use rijal, ijtihad and other means to come to a conclusion over the reliability of a hadith and you will hear different things from different scholars.
Very well stated.
I would go a step further and say that the Prophet (saw) did not have a choice whether to permit it or not. He just went with the flow of the understood norm.
In the Holy Quran, Allah mentions that the Hadhrat Muhammad (saw) did not speak of this own but rather what was revealed to him. Hence, I would say that he never encouraged mut'a, he just kept silent about it. This was our beloved Prophet (saw)'s way when he did not have a Divine injunction on something, he would keep silent.
Sometimes a question would be asked of him three times before he responded, he was waiting Divine instruction.
Keeping silent does not mean that it is permissible, perhaps this is the reason why traditions say that he permitted it. However, Quranic Law is there to protect women from being taken advantage of. If the Holy Prophet (saw) had ever permitted it then he would have gone against his own mission.
Further, the Quran is very clear that a dowry has to be given to bride. If the marriage is not good for either side then it is permitted to get a divorce, talaaq or khul'.Moreover, when you declare talaaq you have to say it three times with a month interval between each. And every time you say it, you have to work to save the marriage. You have to compromise and try your utmost best to save the marriage. And if you are going to declare khul' you have to go to a judge. You cannot just get out of a marriage in Islam by simply packing your bags and leaving. You have to work to resolving the issues. If in the end nothing is possible then you go your way.
Islam has made it difficult to get married for "fun," it has put a lot of barriers.
All in all, one has to consult the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran forbids mut'a but allows nikaah.Last edited by MeemWawMeemNoon; 05-26-2010, 09:59 AM.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

Many sinful practices were prohibited in stages. Like alcohol consumption. But the problem with Shi'i and some heretic sects is that they refuse to accept the gradual prohibitions. I know some people who claim drinking alcohol is not haram. And they use the same reasoning the shi'a use for mutah.Originally posted by Timbaktu* Mutah Forbidden in Stages

^Word.
What upsets me is when people sit there like scholars without taking into consideration the Islamic philosophy of prohibiting something in stages.
If Allah wanted He could have banned everything day one, but He did not. It took Islam 23 years to eradicate an ignorant society's social evil and transform it into a civilized society and use it to lead by example for other societies that existed or were to come in the future. The teachings of Islam that cured the Arab societies is something that if we apply in any society will cure that society from social evils.
That is why Islam claims to be universal.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

There are certain basic principles that are common knowledge. Like gradual prohibition, abrogation, and qareena or qiyaas. People with lack of knowledge would select any particular verse or hadith and single it out and start waving around with it to justify some ill conduct or to cast doubt and stir in murky waters. Thats what Qrratugai is doing here on this forum for the past 2 months.[SIZE="4"][B][CENTER][URL="www.quranawsunnat.com"]www.quranawsunnat.com

I have really been shocked at Qrratagai's approach. I don't care if someone hates Islam or wants to prove it wrong. That is their right. However, I don't like is when it is done by someone who is representing themselves as a well-wisher. Now, someone might say that I should not say that, I should not judge someone; however, this is a trend that I have noticed in her posts.
I also wrote this here: http://pashtunforums.com/showpost.ph...2&postcount=69Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

I use to have similar sentiments. But after what they did in Iraq I find it hard to believe they are brothers.Originally posted by TimbaktuAgain the main problem lies in the ahadith which the shias have. In their ahadith which they attribute to their imams and in turn they claim the imams have the knowledge from their forefathers going back to Hazrat Ali (ra). They claim they uphold the authentic sunnah and they follow the true Islam.
We shouldn't debate with shias about Mutah or any other trivial issues but the main difference between us is the issue of Aimmah. That is what we should always concetrate on. The rest of the issues are trivial.

I guess it goes to shows what type of scholars they follow. Also, don't forget that shi'aism started as a political party. So, it would make sense. They are responsible for leading poor souls astray.
In our times today, we also have sunnis who are guilty of killing their own brothers.
We need to all get a hold of our senses and resort back to the Holy Quran.Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:
