there are definitely countless spritual benefits of praying.
i refrain from commenting about its health and hygenic benefit
because i don't like to mislead people... considering how it is
a craze to loose weight and exercise that people even fast
during ramadhan only to loose weight.

needless to say, the spiritual benefit of praying can not be acheived
unless the person is spiritually connected to Allah swt..
one has to be filled with Allah swt's love in a way that Salah
will be a source of spiritual nurture for his soul... it is the basic
requirement for Salah, and if that is not acheived a drunk person can also stand on prayer mat and babble whatever... he will not have any spiritual benefit from prayers.

bottom line is -- i am not convinced that physical benefit of Salah is the right way of emphasizing the importance of Salah. Salah should be done for Allah's will --once u perform this act only for His benefit u will be able to gain spiritual benefit, which overweighs the physical benefit more than 100000 times.

      Yes!
Islam will prevail, a promise made by the Creator of this universe:

[61:8] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even if the disbelievers hate it.

[61:9] He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it.

these things should be done only for ONE purpose ... to please Allah swt, and obey his order.

i hate it when parents as a last resort start telling their children.. "pray 5 times a day, its a good physical exercise, it will keep u healthy and u will loose weight" ...damn it
I agree with you.....but this article is for those young Muslim kids who are influenced with scientific inventions very much and think Islam as a religion of old age

I'll start by providing some counter examples:

This is asbestos, a mineral that was once commonly used as a heat and electrical insulator. Not only does it not exist in nature with an electrical current, it actually impedes current almost completely.

Let's step back even further, though. Let's take a look a list of the elements, sorted by conductivity:
          http://environmentalchemistry.com/yo...lectrical.html

This is far from an exhaustive list of minerals, but as you can see, most of the elements are very poor conductors.

Interestingly enough, I do not know of a single mineral that generates (directly) an electrical current. Please feel free to correct me on this one, I would love to learn of this element or mineral.
It has been proven by scientific experiments that vegetation, minerals, animals and humans are all set upon an electric system
Dear in the sentence stated above, we are not going to discuss conductivity or insulation of elements directly. It is a matter of just an understanding.
This is fact that every element contains atoms and every atom contains electrons. Presence of electrons is itself an evidence that it contains at least an electric system either that is weak (insulators) or strong (conductors).
Every mineral contains elements....so atoms....so electrons
Every tissue (of plants and animals) contains Carbohydrates/proteins (Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen as elements)....so atoms (go deep).....so electrons

Wow. Just... Wow. Normally I don't mind correcting people when they are wrong but the stupidity and misunderstanding goes way too deep with you on this one.

um, or you could have just asked what he meant by that "electric system" !!

would have been a bit more civil wont you say?

i have a 5 year old nephew and a 6 year old niece.... they know Surahs mashaAllah , are learning how to recite Quran and prayers. till this day i have not heard their mother tell them...'go to masjid because it is good for your health, or pray because it is good for your physical exercise'.... whenever their mother wants to stop them from something or make them do something, she simifply says "Allah swt will get angry if you do this, ALlah swt will be happy if you do this"... and they repeat the same thing.

i was brought up this way and now my niece and nephew r being brought up this way too.

But that's the point. The term 'electric system' has a definition -- and it is not 'has electrons'. I had no need to ask what he meant, as he either was wrong, or misusing the term -- either way, being wrong or using the wrong term, is a poor way to start a scientific discussion -- already showing you do not understand what you are talking about.

I would say that my initial response was quite civil. It was only when I was expected to swallow some baloney as a scientific point that I was uncivil -- and I would argue that I have a right to respond to an uncivil comment uncivilly.

You clearly do not have even a basic understanding of the terms and concepts you are using *in the first sentence*, and rather than admit this, you pull some silly rational out and try to pretend to have made a deep comment. You evidently do not care about science or the scientific method, and thus refuting your points with science is wasted effort.
