mutah is different and prostitution is different... u my friend due ur lack of knowledge... wouldn't be aware that mutah is also in sunni islam.. but not practiced as much as shia's do it.

This is why the crack down on prostitution in Pakistan failed as they hid behind the shi'ite religion. Dr. Hairi in her research paper "The Law of Desire" says the shi'ite religion has given prostitution a legal cover.

The same Zia ul Haq who earned billions from Israel and hid it under the name of Islamic Jihad.

this is not practiced any longer by any sunnis because they finally nulified it to be prohibited., but i has been allowed on an off by many scholars.

I think don't it was never permitted.

It was a practice in pre-Islamic period that was nullified when the appropriate time came. Shi'a Islam don't follow Sunni traditions, they have managed to keep this ancient pre-Islaminc tradition alive by bending Quranic verses and taking them out of context. Shi'a Islam does not look at other verses of the Holy Quran to determine what the real interpretation of 4:24 should be.

So, I would not say that Sunnis ever practiced this. To say that Sunnis practiced this means that the Prophet (saw) sanctioned it, which he did not.
