I never said it was a mansion ....but he clearly wasn't eating stale bread if he lived there. The hole there was caused when the Taliban were overthrown If this picture is false; then where is your proof that your story is true? A picture holds more value than a story does, anyone can make up stories to make a criminal look good.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Yeah because a nice wall to a qillah that got blown out by a rocket, is the same as some abandoned building in L.A.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Anyway, he ate the stale bread in question to show he cares for his people, not because of poverty or choice, which Revo is trying to say.
Well think about it; if he was really avoiding eating "cream and fresh bread" because he was so concerned about the poor people of Afghanistan; why does he want to live in such a nice house if he the poor people of Afghanistan don't have access to such nice residences?
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Good house, big house or a small house doesn't matter, as long as it has 4 walls and a roof.

That's a circular argument; ....read the actual story he said he wouldn't partake in this food because the poor of Afghanistan didn't have food. Why is he living in a nice place if "all that matters is four walls and a roof" and he's so concerned about whether the poor can enjoy those luxiuries. Why is he enjoying other luxuries the poor don't have?
You're making up your own excuses for a hypocrite "homie"
Not to mention his Lexus.

More U.S. special forces were inside Kandahar, bivouacked behind the blue arched Governor's House. They rode into town with the anti-Taliban soldiers of Ghul Agha Sherzai, a former governor who had been run out by the Taliban for his excesses. Sherzai's boys were celebrating. They'd captured one of Mullah Omar's cars, a sinister black Lexus 4x4 and were parading it around the driveway of the governor's house.
I guess you're going to tell me "cars are a different matter now, not how expensive or cheap a car" is. LOL
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
What he did in that story was symbolic and a one-time thing, he does not regularly do that; he did it once.
It was to show he cares, shows over. Now he can eat all the fresh breads and cream he wants.
A man's car and house can be anything he wants, as per the wishes and requirements of himself and his family, he doesn't need to ask every poor Afghan.
Plus, he is the ruler of a nation. He has to have some swag, with the mansions and Lexus.

Because you're trying to portray Mullah Omar as a hero by some made up story which was used to try to make him look noble; when in reality he was a total hypocrite and used to indulge in comparative luxury and didn't give a damn about what poor Afghans had to go through
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
He is a superhero. He is Afghanistan's only superhero and this is evident when you study him.Originally posted by RevolutionThroughReason View PostBecause you're trying to portray Mullah Omar as a hero by some made up story which was used to try to make him look noble; when in reality he was a total hypocrite and used to indulge in comparative luxury and didn't give a damn about what poor Afghans had to go through
I do not know about the truth of this particular story, but Mullah Omar is often presented as the personification of justice.
I will always prefer Omar to anyone else in modern Afghanistan.

I can easily name dozens of men in Afghanistan better than Mullah Omar.
He is no different than us,he blindly believes in the words of other men,:
Yes, but how many of them raised an entire army of Pashtuns and conquered almost the whole of Afghanistan with noble intentions, despite having only one eye?Originally posted by RevolutionThroughReason View PostThat's the thing; it's all mythology and not reaility
