Waheedudin Khan is the Indian equivalent of Javed Ahmed Ghamdi of Westren Punjab with the only difference that Waheed is inclined towards modern science while Ghamdi has a better command over linguistics.

I don't know much about Wahiduddin Khan to really comment; but using examples of people being members of the Indian National Congress as eviidence of "staunch secularism" is as absurd as saying that Right Wing Christian Groups who put Senators and Congressmen in office "secular". Obviously such indiviausl are rather trying to "desecularize" by manipulate the secular system.
