Tawhid is La ilaha illallah. Every Muslim knows what is tawhid.

The tenets of faith of Islam are laid out in the `Aqida Tahawiyya. One should read and know it and then study it further with a scholar.

As for Kitab al-Tawhid, it is not a reliable work of `aqida. It does cite the Qur'an and hadiths, but many of its conclusions are false.

It's kind of lame that the people of that website had to hide the name of the author of that book, because they knew a lot of people would not read the book when they saw who wrote it.

I enjoy watching Sheikh Salim, he's quite captivating. I've also watched a few of his Kitab At-Tawheed episodes and a lot has been eye opening stuff. The most fascinating has been the categories and branches of shirk and the explanation of jinns and how psychics and fortune tellers work. Tawheed is important, so much can be learnt from it. When I first started learning I felt quite silly for having heaps of information right under my nose and not knowing about it. Of course I don't know precisely what is false and what is true, I am always thinking twice before believing on something, but one needs to make own judgement too, that's what common sense is for.
