One has to really be careful when declaring something in a gray area as haraam, especially when there is no alternative.
Zakir Naik does not realize that everything you do in the Western world and even in the Eastern world is tagged to interest, if not directly, at least indirectly.
If you don't want to pay interest on your mortgage and rather rent instead because you do not want to sin, that is fine, but do realize that the rent you are paying is also drenched in interest. This is something that Dr. Israr Ahmed mentioned indirectly.
Yes, true, one should wait for an overall revolution, however, until that revolution comes and a proper Islamic "trusts" are put in place, one should not stop to make an honest living, even in a dishonest system. Otherwise, if you are nothing going to do the job someone else will. And, this has nothing to do with a weak or a strong imaan. It has to do with the fact that the system we live in today is as such, and there is no alternative. Moreover, there are no real Islamic banks today. The wording sounds nice "Islamic Bank" but its principles and tactics and ideas are based on the interest system, except only that it is not called "interest."
In my opinion, whoever works for a bank should continue, just make sure that you do not encourage dishonest tactics, especially when it comes to interest. Try to help people avoid interest as much as possible, even if it means your income will not be as much. m i the only one in here with a credit card who enjoys it's benifits guilt free?
listen people, wake up early in the morning and pray on time. feed the poor and pay zakat. working hard for the money that you earn should not be haram unless it's in a bar or something. it's not like anyone is ensvaling helpless people in to paying interest against their will or something. islam or any other religion is not meant to make living difficult for you. yeah yeah...go ahead, caste shame upon me all you want.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.
