Hamza Yusuf either lied or he has new evidence which were absent up untill now that provides a solid link between the Prophet Muhammad Sal allahu alayhi wasalam and Isma'eel Alayhi Salaam.

In all books of hadith, the lineage of Rasul Allah sal allahu alayhi wasalam is recorded in authentic ahadith only up until Adnan.

Imaam Bukhrai said: "He is Abu al Qasim, Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, Ibn Abdul Muttalib, Ibn Hashim, Ibn AbduManaf, Ibn Qusayy, Ibn Kilaab, Ibn Murrah, Ibn Ka'ab, ibn Lu'ayy, ibn Ghalib, ibn Fihr (Quraysh) ibn Maalik, ibn an-Nadr, ibn Kinaanah, Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Madrakah, Ibn Ilyas, Ibn Mudar, Ibn Nizar, Ibn Ma'ad, Ibn Adnaan". Bukhari, Baghawi, ad-Dahabi

In Sharh as-Sunnah,Imam Al Baghawi said that after the lineage to Adnaan, the lineage is not authentically recorded.

So Hamza Yusuf must know something Bukhari, Baghawi, ad-Dahabi and others didn't know. Or he must be lying like most Sufis do.

We know that Muhammad Ibn Abdullah sal allahu alayhi wasalam is from the children of Isma'eel Alayhi salaam and thus of the children of Ibrahim Alayhi Salaam.

There is no need to mention weak narrations and fabricated ahadith as the Sufis always tend to do to make up nice stories.

This is a religion, not a hobby anybody can get creative in.

Announcement Deobandis & Their Internal Conflicts in Aqeedah Manhaj

As for your claim that the Qasidah Burdah is a "chant of shirk," then I again ask what you have to say about those Ulema of Islam whom had no problem with it.
The "ulema" who chanted the burdah obviously were human. By making a mistake out of ignorance, or being misguided somehow only reveals that the "ulema" are human beings. They are not false deities as you Sufis like to portray them.

Unless you claim that Ibn Hajr al-Haythami Rahmat Allahi Alayh is "misguided," for example.
        He was human.

These are the contradictions inherit in this ideology. Within a few consecutive posts there is a request for proof from authority, an attack on authority, and a dismissal of authority.

dear janab e muhammad rasoolullah s.a.w is our most beloved and final messenger. not it is quit clear that none of the four sahaba kiraam ever celeberated his day.
we should we do is to act upon his teachings. only celeberating his day will not make Allah and his prophet s.a.w happy because there are so many others things to do and now a days it is all show off. we see on tv that some mullahs are showing off, it is very clear that they are doing acting and drama. and exaggeration. and you know ryakari is shirk.
again none of the sahabas has celeberated this day

You wasted several lines commenting on a talk you neither heard nor cared to get a complete description of; and in the process you attacked scholars of Islam. Shaykh Hamza explained that the reliable lineage stops at `Adnan.

"ryakari" is shirk as it has been mentioned by our beloved prophet pbuh that whoever offer namaz for showing off is shirk, whoever gives sadqa for showing off he did shirk and whoever fast for showing off he did shirk.
if there any mistake in the words i pardon for that.
but it has been clearly mentioned in sahih hadeeth.
shirk is not only only to bow down to adols etc but muslims also can comit shirk as mentioned in the upper case ... this is also a very comprehensive topic that what shirk is.
i have a complete video about shirk by a very moderate scholar accepted by all the sects of muslims...

I get it ! I really appreciate this explanation as we all know this showing off in these regards absolutely happens too often. So that is ryakari. THANKS !

I would very much like to see the video.
Even if it's in a language I cant understand, then the fact that it's by a scholar acceptable to all factions perhaps will make it very useful for ALL members here.

Please DO post it as you have time !
