My diet is diet, but fasting is spiritual. My meditating is to relieve stress, bbut your prayers are spiritual?

I have not prayed 5 times a day or fasted in Ramadhan since I have hit puberty. I may one day. Have you meditated before? Not meditate on something, but watched your thoughts as they become less frequent until they aren't there? What do you call that, a state with little self or other?

Why won't I submit to a formal system of thought? There in lies your answer.

See pi, you are worshiping your "hawas"..your desires.

Remember that the Formula is Divine! The Qur'an is pretty much the manual on how to be a human being...hence a formal system of "behaviours". Thoughts are frivolous. Some psychologist say that thoughts are generated in your throat on a very low level. So basically you are just practicing to silence your self. Although, I am pretty sure that Buddhists believe that when you meditate past a point you do experience a higher dimension...one filled with archetypal images ...kind of like homer simpson's experience in a closed off bath tub.
You want to free style it...but in the end you are still copying others. You want to be bhudda, and reach nirvana? In the end you are just a hippy pie... that's a pre fabricated mold that you just picked up from the super market and called it your own.
And so I think...I have proven that without belief, you cannot understand the Qur'an. You can read it all you want... but your mind shuts off because the lie you tell your self feels so good...so comfortable.
Ashab ul KAhf, have you read their story? What meaning could you drive from it?

I have read it, and I do not have any interpretation for it.

I do think talk is cheap, and thought cheaper. Behaviour on the other hand is heavy, and habbits heavier. Silence and peace are good, and they are intertwined with behaviour the same way two threads that are winded around each other. Neither can be said to be the base.

As you can see my thoughts are less materialistic, and yes I have borrowed from the buddhas.

Talk is cheap only when it isn't backed up by action. In this case, your talk maybe cheap pi, this even I agree with you.

Yes, behaviour is heavier, and consequently habbits heavier, then traits are denser, and personality your totality.

Then according to you, rocks are the most Good in this world since they are both at silence and at peace. Of course, by denying materialism all together, you wish to blur the distinction between your self and a lifeless rock..in this way you are trying to shun your mortality.

I don't think you have burrowed from the buddhas, pi.
You have chosen to mimic the culture that you are embedded in. I know hippies, especially canadian yuppies, are into that whole yoga, vegan and bhudda trend. So you've jumped on that badwagon since it is the coolest one. I never asked you about any of this ...you felt obliged to tell me this about your self. I asked you why you don't submit to Allah...bhuddists submit to an idol. You say you meditate ...but before any bhuddist meditates, he or she prostrates a few times. Have you prostrated behzad? You take some and you leave some ... according to what is fashionable?

Yes, I pick and choose, and I don't think there is a totality such as personality.

I don't think you have a personality when you are so generic either.

but atleast your insincerity has been exposed, unless you've chosen to turn a blind eye to it, selectively, according to your whims.

                Nice try pi.

That's interesting, you are saying that settling on things being true after experimenting with them is the same thing as picking and choosing based on what benefits you.

                  I don't disagree, I find it interesting.
